It went missing after #307, but next month's Dragon, #316, will resume Ed Greenwood's "Elminster's Guide to the Realms" column (which has been the difference between my buying the current rules-heavy Dragon and not, of late); there's a "Faiths of Faerūn" article too.

I don't know... I'm kind of digging on the fact that they are throwing out new Al-Qadim, Maztica, and Kara-Tur stuff that would normally NEVER see the light of day. At least, I'll love it when I finally get my issue in the mail
I wonder if we could ever talk WotC to ever release all of Ed's Realms stuff printed in Dragon and Polyhedron into one big book?

I wonder if we could ever talk WotC to ever release all of Ed's Realms stuff printed in Dragon and Polyhedron into one big book? Not based on what they've published lately; apart from anything else it would be at least several hundred pages long. There's a bigger chance of a third-party company doing something with the material: nothing I know of in the works yet, but Rich Baker's said it wouldn't be impossible.

And no news on when we'll see the unpublished P-Z Border Kingdoms writeups written for Polyhedron...

Dragon has not been doing well in my eyes lately. I am coming close to the idea that I will no renew my subscription. The current issue with all the crap from all the game worlds is helping me not want to get Dragon anymore. I certainly don't want any creative effort put out on Maztica or Kara-Tura. Also, the one freakin' FR article is about DROW! And good drow at that! I thought the year of the drow was over? Can WOTC ever release a product that doesn't have something to do with drow?

Dragon's biggest issue lately (and forever, actually) has been that every issue tends to be "love it or hate it." I, for instance, am dying to get my claws on this issue, and am wondering what is taking so long in getting here... but for home-brew campaign people, the second they see the mention of an Official world, they throw their hands up in digust and proclaim how awful it is.
Word about the drow: drow sells products. Good drow sell more products. And its about Elliastree, and probably will dovetail nicely into Waterdeep/Undermountain/Skullport, so I don't see it as that bad.
I just wish they'd do a Realms only magazine. Granted, readership would be low, but MAN I'd love it.
And as far as publishing all of Ed's stuff, a book probably wouldn't work, but a giant, massive pdf might (I can dream, can't I? ;) ).
And as far as Maztica and Kara-Tur goes, jeez, don't begrudge us the ONE scrap that gets thrown to us fans in what, over a decade?! Its not like they are gonna do a hardback on it anytime soon, right?
