I spent this morning working on it; maybe 5 hours. I don't know. I kinda lost track of time. I used the FR atlas and the Shadowdale book for reference.

Looks great, nicely done!

"Beware ... Duty?" I can't seem to figure out some of the characters in the middle. I think I've got at least that much right, though.

Warning signs & runes along the path to Elminster's tower:

Trespassers could die a quick and certain death or they could be invited in for stew. Thank you for thinking better of disturbing my privacy.

An archmage often can react poorly to interruption. Please reconsider before it is too late.

No trespassing. Violators should notify next of kin. Have a pleasant day.

Rumors of spike-filled pits along this path are almost totally false. Thank you for caution.

This ancient path
Is cracked and paved
With visitors who
Could not behave.

I thought that "examples include" meant that there might be more than the five described, plus they "disapear and reappear in no clear pattern". Sorry, if I offend anyone.

You didn't offend anyone. It's marvelous work.

I was merely offering more examples of the signs for interested parties.

Well if you click the link in my sig, on the right hand side is a photo album of FR Fan art. I threw it up there with a caption of where it came from. Very well done.

For some reason typepad servers are choking today so it my be a tad slow.

Are you going to do any more??

There's also another possible sign: "Gone gathering spell components." However, this one has been up so long that it has faded from exposure to the elements, and is obviously a decoy.

That is the best and only colour depiction of Shadowdale I've seen. Ed says he likes it too, though the Old Skull should be right behind the tower, which is short and squat with untidy stonework.

Awesome...(searching other word to describe it...) AWESOME art. Well, that's all, will we be seeing more of it?

I changed a few things. I hope this is closer to Ed's vision.

Reports of spiked pit traps along these roads are almost completely false

This pic is absolutely great!!! The colors are tremendous!!!!!! Very very very well done Druid!!!!!!!

p.s. I always thought of the tower taller and there should be the lake on it's left (there is a lake isn't there? I remember it from the Shadowdale adventure map)

Thanks, Fredegar. Take a look at the tower in the Forgotten Realms Atlas. It is short and wide.

Great tower, indeed I must agree with others that have said that is exactly what I had pictured.

Wonderful! =)
