Elves who prefer human civilization [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-20-03, 12:58 AM This came to me a while back, when I started thinking of the amusing idea of an Elven Banite ordering some human lackeys around. Eventually I came to realize that there are a number of positions made more interesting by virtue of them being an Elf instead of a human. Such as:

-An Elf who runs a mercant consortium
-An Elven Priest of Cyric, pushing some human lackeys around
-An Elf captain of a ship, pushing some human lackeys overboard
-An Elven guildmaster
-An Elven Priest of Kossuth, setting some (Human) adventurers on fire.

Anything involving a position in a mostly human hierarchy that involves bossing other humans around, really.

Now, the inevitable question: What are some real examples?

P.S. I don't hate humans. Really!

I would say Elaith is a perfect example of a elf who runs a merchant, thieving, adventuring, and gathering company. Waterdeep to me is still a "Human" city but it is open to almost all the races.

07-22-03, 01:54 PM I aggree with kuje31 in that Elaith Craulnober is probably the best example.

Then there's also the time that Jarlaxle expanded to the surface to take over the city of Calimport and established connections (by the name of Morik the Rogue) in Luskan (Servant of the Shard). he didn't push humans around as much as he manipulated them, though. but he did make shure they knew who was in charge, and eliminated any that tried to place themselves above him.
