Elvish armour making techniques [Archive] - Wizards Community

I am looking for any and all information on the techniques elves from FR use to make armours. From the begining in which they "raise" the ore (if this is how its done? and whats eplls are used etc.) from the earth, to the smelting process and what that requires, as well as the smithing skills/spells as well. All techniques are need from creating chain to full plate, metal types used, engraving, spells and skills/feats required etc.

I am also interested in non-metal ways elves make armour. I have heard of "Dark leaf" or "Dark wood" but need mroe info on such things.

Am designing quests to make an master elven smith, but have little in the way of books to reference. Thanks in advacne for whatever help you can supply.

07-24-03, 05:37 AM None of the actual techniques were discussed in any Forgotten Realms product that I know of. No canon products either. There are some vague flavor tidbits in the 2nd edition "Complete Book of Elves", but nothing precise. Make it up I say!
