Epic Items and Characterization [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-07-03, 02:07 PM OK, so here it is. I've just started making a char for this epic campaign and I am playing as a paragon dragon. The DM is fairly generous but knows what he is doing. He is NPCing a paragon pit fiend for the party. As you can tell, we are playing chars at CR 30. There are two others in the party but they havn't decided what to be. Here's the catch. The DM and I want to have some pretty kickin' items but we have no idea of what we want. But we do know that we want something totally new and exciting and all that jazz. The main problem is that we have no ideas on what kind of new stuff we shoud make. We obviously know we need the epic basics like loads of stackable speed abilities from multiple sources but those kind of items have begun to get redundant with our characters. We have used almost every available book with item ideas but we want something original that will give the characters some personality. PLEASE HELP US! All original item ideas are welcome; remember, we are epic with around 4,300,000 gp to blow! Don't hold back, we are looking for a centerpieces, character flares and things to be known for, but don't make one item the overwhelming majority of the characters arsenal! So tell us about all the little pretty things you can think of!

09-08-03, 05:29 AM well, you can find cool minor/major artifacts in MoF; FRCS; DMG; ROF, LoD and BoVD if yer adults.

let DM price the artifacts, and for campaign idea, or anything, check ELH

09-08-03, 07:14 PM i know all of those and i have acess to them. but what i am lookng for are totally new items that other people have made as characters or items that dm's have incorperated into their campaigns that are of their own original design. you know, something brand new.:D
