| 18DELTA04-08-08, 11:03 PM | -In this Thread (http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/community/gaming/4thEdition/4eForgottenRealmsViaAcrossThePond) Erik Mona from Paizo says that Bruce should be allright. Its the 8th post down. Erik Mona (Publisher), Saturday, 01:16 PM Reply -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bruce is a solid writer. I think his involvement in the project bodes well for it being a cool campaign setting when all is said and done. -So...what do you guys and gals think of this? 18D;) |
| Faraer04-08-08, 11:17 PM | I agree with Erik. |
| Friendlyfish04-08-08, 11:43 PM | I'm with Erik too. I think it's going to be great. |
| Daenaan04-09-08, 12:33 AM | It seems a tad hypocritical to me... after all, didn't he say that the same sorts of changes would greatly diminish his beloved Greyhawk, such that it wouldn't be the same? |
| Dark Wizard04-09-08, 01:37 AM | That doesn't really say anything other than, 'Don't worry too much especially on these boards, primarily used to discuss Pathfinder and related products. You recall Pathfinder right?' *Prays to Zagyg this doesn't descend into one of those anti-WotC threads.* |
| Stigger04-09-08, 02:03 AM | Meh... nothing we didn't already know here. As to Bruce Cordell being a solid writer, well, that's entirely subjective, so... yeah. Not much else to it. |
| Zanan04-09-08, 04:14 AM | You see ... it is much like a football team selling half of the squad in the summer and the chairman places some old veterans into the faces of the press, who tell the latter that you can trust in them doing a good job for the team. Of course they will. But whether the other - new - half of the squad is up for it is anyone's guesses. Same with the Realms. I have no doubt that Greenwood, Boyd, Costa and Cordell are not up for the challenge. I have my doubts whether the New Realms will actually be the Forgotten Realms any longer. The Realms that I want to play in, that is. |
| Jiggawha04-09-08, 04:16 AM | The Illithiad is one of my favorite sourcebooks but that was long time ago Far Realm and sci-fi stuff should be very rare, it seems that it will get too much exposure articles like the headless zhent would kill FR writers like Schend, Boyd, Krashos, Costa would be much better, they are real fans, and would care about the quality. I have the feeling that these new writers haven't even read the old lore. |
| Stigger04-09-08, 06:20 AM | *bites tongue to hold back snarky commentary aimed at writers* |
| Alediran04-09-08, 08:20 AM | If he is good or not is not up to us to discuss, if he is good for the realms is another matter, and I personaly think he is not good for the realms, which is something that Erik Mona never said, he only said he is a good writer, not that his style is good for the realms. |
| Rauric04-09-08, 08:26 AM | I would have liked to see a little more Chuthulu stuff in FR so this is ok by me. Since FR is "A little something for everyone" I would think people should expect it. ;) |
| Lord Karsus04-09-08, 08:26 AM | -Cool. |
| Alediran04-09-08, 08:27 AM | I would have liked to see a little more Chuthulu stuff in FR so this is ok by me. Since FR is "A little something for everyone" I would think people should expect it. ;) And I don't like it, there was enough Lovecraftian horrors already: Beholders, Mind Flayers and the other common aberrations that already exist in the setting. |
| Rauric04-09-08, 09:00 AM | Aboleths were there though also. With their racial abilities and the concept that they ruled kingdoms in the sea long before recorded history there are a lot of interesting stories that can be told. An aboleth was featured in one of Cunningham's dark elf novels and I remember just thinking about how interesting and alien their type of evil was. So this works out for me in the end I guess. |
| Lord Karsus04-09-08, 09:05 AM | An aboleth was featured in one of Cunningham's dark elf novels and I remember just thinking about how interesting and alien their type of evil was. -Yes, it was used in a manner much more befitting a beast than an Aboleth. |
| Rauric04-09-08, 09:23 AM | Now I am confused. Was the aboleth in charge or the illithid? I read it once when it came out but I just remember the Kraken being secretly run by aboleths. |
| Stigger04-09-08, 09:26 AM | Secretly, it was the Gnomes running the show... |
| Alediran04-09-08, 09:27 AM | The aboleth was the pet in that book, I don't remember who was the leader, only that it was female. And Liriel kicked her bucket to a place where the sun doesn't shines. |
| Lord Karsus04-09-08, 09:28 AM | Now I am confused. Was the aboleth in charge or the illithid? I read it once when it came out but I just remember the Kraken being secretly run by aboleths. -The Aboleth was a pet. Vestress, an Illithid with a female personality, was the leading humanoid of the Kraken Society. |
| Stigger04-09-08, 09:30 AM | Is that where the whole Kraken Society thing came from? Glad I never read them... one of those groups I tend to ignore the existance of. |
| Rauric04-09-08, 09:34 AM | I got that mixed up then. In my game the abos were in charge. Maybe the abo was pretending to let the illithid run things.;) Like I said I took that little idea and ran with it. The Society was the land based operations of an aboleth group that was trying to mount a "comeback". My next campaign was going to use them a bit more so this whole new Far Realm stuff may work into my game. Orrrrr I may just work some idea on the Fey and the Moonshae isles that I had all of a sudden. We shall see. |
| Lord Karsus04-09-08, 09:35 AM | Is that where the whole Kraken Society thing came from? Glad I never read them... one of those groups I tend to ignore the existance of. -I am fairly sure the group existed before they were written about. |
| Lord Karsus04-09-08, 09:37 AM | Maybe the abo was pretending to let the illithid run things.;) -Vestress wasn't in charge either. The Chosen of Umberlee, Slarkrathel is. Slarkrathel, obviously, has some problems with his (its?) dealings with Humanoids, being what he (it?) is. |
| Stigger04-09-08, 09:40 AM | Ah, could be... still don't much care for the group as it is. Krakens are big things that eat ships and whales in my mind, and I really didn't like the tying them in with some 'evil' intelligence... I happen to like squids and octopi as critters, and see the whole Cthulu thing as maligning an adorable species. So there. |
| Rauric04-09-08, 09:41 AM | -Vestress wasn't in charge either. The Chosen of Umberlee, Slarkrathel is. Slarkrathel, obviously, has some problems with his (its?) dealings with Humanoids, being what he (it?) is. Ah ok. So it is very chuthulu with it's boss being what it is. |
| Lord Karsus04-09-08, 09:44 AM | -Slarkrathel wasn't a normal Kraken, so have no fear that all Krakens are evil geniuses. The Kraken we saw in the Erevis Cale and Twilight War trilogies didn't seem particularly smart. That said, it was a junkie, however, so... Ah ok. So it is very chuthulu with it's boss being what it is. -It's Cthulu-esque in that type of sense, but it's not very Cthulu-esque in the sense of the goals of the Kraken Society. |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin04-09-08, 11:41 AM | I happen to like squids and octopi as critters, and see the whole Cthulu thing as maligning an adorable species. So there. I agree.:( |
| 18DELTA04-09-08, 01:41 PM | Secretly, it was the Gnomes running the show... -  :w00t: :plotting: :lightbulb :evillaugh :dancin: :coolcthul 18D:P |
| MarkusTay6304-09-08, 01:53 PM | #1 - all these guys work in this field together, and it is STILL a niche hobby. That means the guy you dis this week, you might be working with the next. In this very fickel genre and unstable economy, you never know when you might need to to ask someone for a job. Keep that in mind when ALL of these guys comment on each other... and focus on what's NOT being said. ;) #2 - Did you ever stop to think that Paizo will be MORE successful if the other companies place the wrong guy in the wrong spot? "Yeah... sure... I think he'll be JUST PERFECT." To us, it is a fun hobby. To those guys, it's a business, and you should always keep that in mind when they are offering opinions. I also think Bruce Cordell is an excellent writer and designer - I'm just not sure if his personal 'tastes' belong in FR. It doesn't really matter how I feel, though, nor any of you... individually. What matters is how the majority of the people will respond when the new setting is released. I used to hope it would tank, but that was just spite talking (for destroying 'my' Realms). Now I realize whatever they come up with won't be for me at all, because I have no intention of moving my timeline forward. So, with that in mind, I hope it does well for them - at least it will mean new fans of the Realms down the line. |
| msatran04-09-08, 02:38 PM | I have to agree with Markus here. What he's really saying is "Taken on it's own merits, it will be a great campaign setting. Unfortunately, it's not the campaign setting that fans of the series want. Over here at Paizo, we have a great campaign setting, and when 4th came out, we opted NOT to screw it up. When Wizards tanks the Forgotten Realms, we'll be happy to buy the rights and undo all the stuff you did." |
| 18DELTA04-09-08, 03:44 PM | When Wizards tanks the Forgotten Realms, we'll be happy to buy the rights and undo all the stuff you did." -One could only HOPE!!!:D 18D:) |
| MarkusTay6304-09-08, 04:11 PM | No, ideally the rights would revert back to Ed, and he could produse FR books that are 100% Fluff, with absolutely NO crunch in them, until the end of time. If we want a set of mechanics, we could then pick our systems from the wide assortment available - not be forced to choose a certain one because the comapny that owns the setting just so happens to produce their own rules set. |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin04-09-08, 04:18 PM | [I also think Bruce Cordell is an excellent writer and designer - I'm just not sure if his personal 'tastes' belong in FR. That's my opinion, as well. And for the record, I don't hold the opinion of Eric Mona above the opinion of anyone else--it does not hold any kind of special weight with me. |
| Stigger04-09-08, 04:44 PM | Not even that sure who he is to be honest... or what he's done that I should care about. Mean perhaps, but if there's a politer way to put that, its beyond my mood at the moment... |
| Lord Karsus04-09-08, 05:54 PM | No, ideally the rights would revert back to Ed, and he could produse FR books that are 100% Fluff, with absolutely NO crunch in them, until the end of time. -Which he can't. I don't know his financial situation, but I think it's safe to say that he doesn't possess that kind of money. Should that theoretical situation happen, there would need to be some 3rd Party to do all of the physical editing, production, and so on. |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin04-09-08, 08:19 PM | Not even that sure who he is to be honest... or what he's done that I should care about. Mean perhaps, but if there's a politer way to put that, its beyond my mood at the moment... He was really involved with Dragon magazine (Editor-in-Chief, I think?). Anyway, Greyhawk is the setting he loves and is known to defend and promote. His opinion on the Realms is, as I have come to learn, much more cavalier and indifferent. On Candlekeep (which by the way seems to be "down" at the moment) Faraer posted a thread from the Paizo boards where Erik participated in a discussion about what should be down with Greyhawk if it were to be converted to 4E rules. He was steadfast in his opinion that the character of the setting should not be changed to fit the 4E rules. However, he also happened to mention that the changes being brought to the Realms were fine and probably necessary. He was "business-like" about it...but only because the Realms isn't his most cherished setting (in other words, if those changes were happening to Greyhawk, he'd no doubt be incensed). |
| Dark Wizard04-09-08, 10:07 PM | Here is Erik Mona's list of credentials at Pen & Paper. http://www.pen-paper.net/rpgdb.php?op=showcreator&creatorid=593 One design credit he has is Faiths and Pantheons (name was on the cover as I recall it). Here's Bruce Cordell's credits, for completeness sake. http://www.pen-paper.net/rpgdb.php?op=showcreator&creatorid=1 |

| Stigger04-10-08, 01:09 AM | Indeed... though I've no idea how much he could have contributed to F&P considering it was largely cut and paste from the 2e Divine Trilogy. Orcs perhaps. |
| MarkusTay6304-10-08, 09:51 AM | I think some of the Orc Gods were taken from Monster Mythology, but I can't be sure ATM (not at home). You know, saying that those changes would destroy GH (which I also care about), but not FR is very self-serving. How can you say that when those two settings are perhaps the closest flavor-wise (generic fantasy world with a mish-mosh of cultures). Since I happen to be EXTREMELY familiar with BOTH settings, I can say in all honesty that anything that works in one would work in the other. I'm starting to believe more and more that Paizo wants WotC to continue down this self-destructive path, just so most of the disgruntled FR fans will be going elsewhere for all their gaming goodness. In all honesty, the only thing WotC has going for it in this industry is the D&D name. When it comes to raw talent and creative/innovative settings and adventures, most of the other companies out there have them beat hands down. Just take a look at some of Paizo's Dragon magazines, and then take a gander at WotC's 'offerings' and you can clearly see who has 'lost it'. WotC should just stick to creating rules and let others develop their settings. They did quite a bit of that in 3e (DL, SJ, RL, etc), but they should take the next evolutionary step and also license out GH and FR. They can keep Eberron, and that can be their Flagship setting. Nothing deregatory there, I like Eberron, and James Wyatt seems to be handling the setting very well. |

Look at some of the other sourcebooks out there, from 3rd-Party companies. I still think WotC has some of the best minds for the industry, right now. That's not to say that nobody else has just as much talent, or anything, of course. |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin04-10-08, 12:28 PM | -Hmm...Hypocrite much? That was my opinion, more or less. Or, to put it more kindly, he's a person just like everyone else who has his biases. He is biased towards Greyhawk (now, I wouldn't want that setting "ruined" either, because I do like it), and if massive changes were announced for that setting, I highly doubt he would rationalize them to himself the way he did for the Realms setting. |
| MarkusTay6304-10-08, 02:26 PM | I was thinking mostly in terms of Paizo and Malhavoc, both of which produce some awesome stuff. Alderic (AEG) also does some great stuff as well. Some of the other guys out there, not so much. That Kingdoms of Kalimar crap was worse then Birthright. :yuck: One the few books I ever bought that I actually considered just throwing away. :( Either way, I think the most talented people - in ANY industry - always leave and start up their own companies, which eventually leaves the parent company with the bottom of the barrel and new hires. Then the cycle repeats with all the new companies. TSR was getting pretty bad toward the end, but then WotC bought it and breathed new life into it. Now its time for another 'changing of the gaurd'. Every person only has so many good ideas, and once they are used up, a business will stagnate. Not that I care... I started playing WoW again.... ;) |
| Iakhovas04-10-08, 05:33 PM | You should try out Everquest 2 Mark. Come join me on the Befallen server. The first pint is on me. :pint: Not that I care... I started playing WoW again.... ;) |
| Iakhovas04-10-08, 05:38 PM | I was actually quite fond of the Oathbound setting by Bastion Press. In fact I might try my hand at converting it to 4th-Edition. |
| Lord Karsus04-11-08, 12:56 AM | That Kingdoms of Kalimar crap was worse then Birtthright. :yuck: -Was it bad? I don't know, but have you ever seen their DM Screen? It has, like, flipping panels and stuff. I think it's nice, glossy plastic, also. |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin04-11-08, 11:19 AM | -Was it bad? I don't know, but have you ever seen their DM Screen? It has, like, flipping panels and stuff. I think it's nice, glossy plastic, also. Yeah, I was wondering, what was wrong with Kingdoms of Kalimar? Just curious. |
| MarkusTay6304-11-08, 11:53 AM | Its not so much that Kalimar was bad, as that it wasn't good... at anything. As far as I can recall, there was no 'catch', or theme. Even Birthright had a couple of cool concepts, but Kalimar was just 'there'. There was nothing different, nothing memorable - all the kingdoms were bland and the history way duller then our own RW. I even found the map completely lackluster, and considering I'm a map-junkie, thats pretty damn bad. :( I did like the MM for it though, and there's a couple of creature's I would use. I think all of the 'creative juices' for that setting went into the monsters (which still aren't 'incredibly awesome', but a few are 'noteworthy') -Was it bad? I don't know, but have you ever seen their DM Screen? It has, like, flipping panels and stuff. I think it's nice, glossy plastic, also. You mean like WotC is planning for 4e screens? :smirk: I was actually quite fond of the Oathbound setting by Bastion Press. In fact I might try my hand at converting it to 4th-Edition.Oathbound? Thats one I haven't even heard of, and I thought I checked them all out. I'll have to look into that. :) |
| Lord Karsus04-11-08, 11:58 AM | You mean like WotC is planning for 4e screens? :smirk: -The official 4e DM screen is going to be like that? :lightbulb -I think we've found the first 4e thing I like! |
| MarkusTay6304-11-08, 12:04 PM | If you look at the videos of that last con (the one where everyone found out about the 'logo-less FR'), they talk quite a bit about the new DM screen - its going to be really 'cool' (what else?) and be made like a Monopoly Board (rigid Cardboard) rather then cheap cardstock as it was in the past. Like I keep saying - 4th edition (both rules abd FR) is obviously composed of everything that WotC employess found was a great idea by another company or setting. Its like they had a 'design meeting' and made a list of everyone else's cool ideas and 'smushed' them all together. Hence, we got Cthulhu by Candlelight. :nonono: |

| MarkusTay6304-11-08, 12:17 PM | The one, single thing I can actually remember about the setting (it was SO boring I'm not even sure if I read through the entire thing) is a Kingdom that hated magic and wizards. In its defense, thats the one thing I found 'entertaining' (even though its been done before). Not very original, but it is the one thing I recall. |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin04-11-08, 12:19 PM | The one, single thing I can actually remember about the setting (it was SO boring I'm not even sure if I read through the entire thing) is a Kingdom that hated magic and wizards. In its defense, thats the one thing I found 'entertaining' (even though its been done before). Not very original, but it is the one thing I recall. That's one of the least original ideas in the book. |
| MarkusTay6304-11-08, 12:36 PM | So you have it? Did you like it? Everyone's tastes are different, so I would assume some people must have. I just thought it was WAY too much of 'more of the same'. Considering that part about the magic-hating kingdom was the ONLY thing that really grabbed me, you can see why I was dissapointed. I'm asking because maybe there was something I might have missed that would be worth taking a second look at. |
| msatran04-11-08, 12:53 PM | Actually, I liked Kalamar. And the reason why I liked Kalamar was because of the very thing you don't like, Markus. That meant it was up to the DM to inject more of the flavor in, and that's fine. It just means you aren't as beholden to the traditions of the gameworld. In the Realms, you have to be careful, there have to be little tragedies along the way, and if you don't have them, it sometimes makes things bad. |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin04-11-08, 04:01 PM | So you have it? Did you like it? I meant that in the metaphorical sense (ie. "That's the oldest trick in the book!"). The "book" I refered to exists only in people's minds as the collection of ideas using for building a fantasy setting.:) |
| MarkusTay6304-11-08, 04:30 PM | You know - I never thought of that. I always enjoyed designing worlds from the ground-up. I suppose if someone wanted a set of generic maps and history to paste their own idea over, then kalamar would most certainly be perfect. |
| MerrikCale04-13-08, 12:06 AM | No, ideally the rights would revert back to Ed, and he could produse FR books that are 100% Fluff, with absolutely NO crunch in them, until the end of time. That would be a godsend from this disaster. Always the silver lining |
| Lord Karsus04-13-08, 12:10 AM | I meant that in the metaphorical sense (ie. "That's the oldest trick in the book!"). | Stigger04-13-08, 11:57 AM | I took it as it was intended... youth these days. Not sure what MT's excuse is though. ;) :D |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin04-13-08, 09:18 PM | -So sneaky, you are. :P -I thought you had it, too. I know, I put one over on you guys, didn't I?:P Or, I just wasn't being clear enough.;) |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin04-13-08, 09:19 PM | -So sneaky, you are. :P -I thought you had it, too. I know I put one over on you guys, didn't I?:P Well, except Stigger.;) |
| Lord Karsus04-14-08, 07:54 AM | I know, I put one over on you guys, didn't I?:P -Yes, yes you did. :) |
| Uzzy04-15-08, 01:34 PM | Regarding the rights to the Realms, I very much doubt that they would ever revert back to Ed. Even if WoTC dropped the Realms, the rights are valuable for future videogames. So you can expect WoTC to put out the bare minimum required to keep the rights from reverting to Ed. Regarding Erik Mona, he's a very good designer and I love the work Paizo is currently doing. That doesn't stop him from being wrong in this regard. |

| Uzzy04-15-08, 01:43 PM | I am aware of that, Karsus. That's why I said they would put out the minimum required to keep that from happening. ;) I think that legally speaking, 'product' can just mean novel. And well, if they just had to put out one novel a year from the Realms to keep the rights, there is an obvious choice as to what to put out. Or they could just keep the novel line running. Either way, I personally do not think that the rights reverting to Ed is something that is going to happen. It's just too valuable a name. |
| Lord Karsus04-15-08, 02:06 PM | Either way, I personally do not think that the rights reverting to Ed is something that is going to happen. It's just too valuable a name. -No, that'd never happen. And, even if it somehow did, that wouldn't do us good. Ed Greenwood, the Forgotten Realms, and WotC all have a symbiotic relationship. They all need each other to be sucessful. Seperated, it doesn't work. |
| MerrikCale04-15-08, 10:50 PM | -No, that'd never happen. And, even if it somehow did, that wouldn't do us good. Ed Greenwood, the Forgotten Realms, and WotC all have a symbiotic relationship. They all need each other to be sucessful. Seperated, it doesn't work. But lets say we try it |
| Lord Karsus04-15-08, 10:58 PM | -You can try...But, look how good being 'independent' did for Dragonlance... |
| Dark Wizard04-15-08, 11:52 PM | The various setting upheavals didn't exactly leave Dragonlance in the best of shape before the license got picked up for independent development. |
| MerrikCale04-16-08, 11:34 AM | -You can try...But, look how good being 'independent' did for Dragonlance... But FR has more fans than DL ever did |
| MarkusTay6304-16-08, 11:44 AM | To be fair, Castlemourn didn't exactly take-off for Ed, either. I heard it was great, but without Hasbro/WotC's marketing machine behind it, it just wallows in limbo. :( Pretty sad that people with talent are forced to 'sell their souls' to have their stuff reach a wider audience. I wonder if that makes Ed a Warlock in 4e rules... :P |
| MerrikCale04-16-08, 11:54 AM | To be fair, Castlemourn didn't exactly take-off for Ed, either. I heard it was great, but without Hasbro/WotC's marketing machine behind it, it just wallows in limbo. :( Well, thats very true. I guess the best case scenario would be the FR 100 year time jump is an utter failure and the powers that be decide to retcon. |
| Lord Karsus04-16-08, 12:33 PM | To be fair, Castlemourn didn't exactly take-off for Ed, either. I heard it was great, but without Hasbro/WotC's marketing machine behind it, it just wallows in limbo. :( -Yeah, see. Good observation. Note, though, that that setting isn't the Forgotten Realms. |
| MerrikCale04-16-08, 12:45 PM | -Yeah, see. Good observation. Note, though, that that setting isn't the Forgotten Realms. True, but his point about the marketing machine that is WoTC is a valid one |
| Lord Karsus04-16-08, 12:53 PM | True, but his point about the marketing machine that is WoTC is a valid one -Yes, I know. That was my original point. |
| Stigger04-16-08, 02:13 PM | This is true... don't think I've seen any advertising for it at all so far. Wouldn't even know about it were it not for these boards. Sad, but true. |
| MerrikCale04-16-08, 02:52 PM | -Yes, I know. That was my original point. you trying to take credit for MT's point? |
| Lord Karsus04-16-08, 03:11 PM | you trying to take credit for MT's point? -Sir, I demand you stop the libel against my character at once! |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin04-16-08, 03:22 PM | Yeah, stop it!:P |
| MerrikCale04-16-08, 03:30 PM | uh-oh. LK and Rinonalyrna are after me. I am doomed |

| Stigger04-16-08, 04:28 PM | It's referred to as an out-of-court settlement... extortion sounds so very plebian. :P ;) |
| MerrikCale04-16-08, 10:15 PM | -Where's our extortion money? How many gold peices are you looking for? |
| Lord Karsus04-16-08, 11:22 PM | How many gold peices are you looking for? -How much you got to give? |
| MerrikCale04-17-08, 12:00 PM | -How much you got to give? i think i may a copper lying around. It has picture of a man with a beard on it and says "1 Cent" whatever that means |
| Lord Karsus04-17-08, 12:36 PM | i think i may a copper lying around. It has picture of a man with a beard on it and says "1 Cent" whatever that means -Good enough for me. Bring that in a plain brown paper bag to the large weeping willing with the big knothole in the park at 5 PM. And, come alone...Or else... |
| MerrikCale04-17-08, 12:49 PM | -Good enough for me. Bring that in a plain brown paper bag to the large weeping willing with the big knothole in the park at 5 PM. And, come alone...Or else... I'm bringing along some barbarian party members. oh wait this is 4e, there are no barbarians, damn |
| MarkusTay6304-17-08, 01:16 PM | I make ALL the good points... I just let Karsus borrow them once in awhile. :P In all honesty, though, I was merely expounding on his point, by giving a very appliable reference (Ed Greenwood's 'freelance' work). It doesn't really matter how talented you are, weather it be at writing, musical, acting... whatever... its how well you are marketed. Just look at all those brats Disney keeps churning out. |
| Lord Karsus04-17-08, 01:17 PM | I'm bringing along some barbarian party members. oh wait this is 4e, there are no barbarians, damn -Ha! Ha! Ha! All your base are belong to us! :evillaugh |

I hear that one will be nice, with zillions of tables that show where every rule originated, and its history. -No, that's the 4e preview book for The Players' Guide to Rulebook Rules. I think the working title for that one is called Rules and Irrelevance. |
