| mihas11-12-03, 05:26 AM | There is a question I can't answer myself: how come that Faerun isn't ruled by evil? There are much more powerful evil organizations and villians than good ones (I got that feeling after browsing some of the threads on this board) Anybody? Oh, and HI to all, this is my first post. |
| Cunning Linguist11-12-03, 05:51 AM | Oh? I would like some more evil.. but thats just me. Thoese nasty chosen are always a problem, and the Harpers. And now Blackstaff has his own gang of do-good'ers. There are also the tireless Paladins and Clerics of all kinds of god's that are out to stop evil. That may be the single biggest problem, that good wants to stop evil, while evil just wants to make a buck. And then there is Drizzt, who apparantly always saves the day if its north of Waterdeep. Cormyr if filled with goody-two-shoos.. I think that place is a major problem for evil. |
| mihas11-12-03, 07:23 AM | Chosens are powerful, but for one good chosen you get bunch of liches, devils, demons, evil chosen, etc. etc, and still, those good chosen can be at one place at the moment. Harpers - agree, they try to do their best, but: 1) they are exclusive and secret (so not many good hearted ppl know about them) 2) after Blackstaff's leaving I think they have their internal problems. Mr. Khelben's organization doesn't have to be good aligned. I think he will try to achive his own goals more. As for good paladins and clerics you get the same number of evil blackguards and clerics. Drizzt is powerful too, but still, alone. I still think that there are too many bad guys and too few good ones. |
| Cunning Linguist11-12-03, 08:15 AM | There is also the problem that no two good people fight each other, while Beholders fight other Beholders, Drow are fighting Drow, Zhentarim are arguing with Shades over trade route, Thar is filled with evil, and is constantly attacking Zhentil Keep. Red Dragons are killing Blue Dragons, Followers of Bane wage war on Followers of Cyric.. The only evil organization that seems to have a plan is the Red Wizards. *Goooooo Red Wizards!* |
| Xessor11-12-03, 08:17 AM | True, there may be more & better evil beings  than good beings . But then again evil beings are more likely to kill each other than good beings are. For example, the drow although powerful constantly fight each other, wasting their resources. (Hmm, I was too late. You beat me to it. :D) |

| Srinshee11-13-03, 12:16 AM | Large swathes of Faerun are ruled by evil. Check out Zhentil Keep - or most of the moonsea region, for that matter. Or Thay. Or Calimshan or Amn. Or the part of Amn that's still under the contol of the Systhillians. Or Hlondeth. Or Luthcheq. I could go on. |
