| Gallameed06-15-05, 05:02 AM | Hiya, The price for Griffon young/egg's, can be found in the MM, along with the fee that Professional trainers charge for training or rearing one of these exotic beasts. BUT, where the text says: 'Professional Trainers charge 1500gp to train or rear' does this mean that it costs 3000gp to train and rear this beast? |
| Gallameed06-15-05, 05:05 AM | And.... does anyone know what the most commonly used exotic mounts are in the realms, I know important people in Cormyr use Griff's alot, but where else can you expect to find exotic beasts flying/walking around the gaff? |
| numitor06-15-05, 07:10 AM | The gold dwarves of the great rift ride griffons. I do beleive it is 3000gp for it although if i where you, I would increase the price. |
| Gallameed06-15-05, 06:27 PM | Thanks for that. Does anyone know if dinosaurs are ever used as mounts by the peoples of Chult? |
| GothicDan06-15-05, 07:02 PM | I do believe that the people of Chult use dinosaurs. That being said, there are also Aglarondan Griffonriders and the Griffon Legion of Thay, ridden by Red Wizards. I believe their number is around 300. Waterdeep may also use griffon cavalry, but that could be a stray memory that isn't necessarily true. :) |

| GothicDan06-15-05, 08:02 PM | Thanks, Kuje! Good to see that my memory is still functioning well enough. |
| Myssa Rei06-15-05, 09:18 PM | By the way, the Aerie on Mt. Waterdeep also stables Hippogriffs, as well as other aerial mounts. I haven't read the North supplement in a while though, so I could have been mistaken... |
