Hiya,

The price for Griffon young/egg's, can be found in the MM, along with the fee that Professional trainers charge for training or rearing one of these exotic beasts.

BUT, where the text says:

'Professional Trainers charge 1500gp to train or rear'

does this mean that it costs 3000gp to train and rear this beast?

And....

does anyone know what the most commonly used exotic mounts are in the realms, I know important people in Cormyr use Griff's alot, but where else can you expect to find exotic beasts flying/walking around the gaff?

The gold dwarves of the great rift ride griffons.

I do beleive it is 3000gp for it although if i where you, I would increase the price.

Thanks for that.

Does anyone know if dinosaurs are ever used as mounts by the peoples of Chult?

I do believe that the people of Chult use dinosaurs.

That being said, there are also Aglarondan Griffonriders and the Griffon Legion of Thay, ridden by Red Wizards. I believe their number is around 300.

Waterdeep may also use griffon cavalry, but that could be a stray memory that isn't necessarily true. :)

Nay, they do. The Aerie is on Mt Waterdeep. :)

Thanks, Kuje! Good to see that my memory is still functioning well enough.

By the way, the Aerie on Mt. Waterdeep also stables Hippogriffs, as well as other aerial mounts. I haven't read the North supplement in a while though, so I could have been mistaken...
