| Zanan01-20-04, 04:49 AM | Vendui! Yesterday I stumbled upon the wallpapers of "Extinction" by Lisa Smedman. There were, apparently, some problems with the server, since I could not download them at that time. Now, after about half an hour of research, I couldn't find even a link to the main page where the wallpapers were first listed ... I hope someone is more succesfull and can give me a helping hand. |

| Straploknight01-21-04, 11:54 PM | Bang'n body, but whats with the head? Is she some kind of drow/eye tyrant crossbreed? |
| DarkBard01-30-04, 06:49 PM | That's just Brom. He paints people like that. |
| WizO_BigSister01-31-04, 06:30 AM | Love Brom  Love Drow  I've got a new desktop! |
| Straploknight01-31-04, 07:31 PM | Yeah, right Brom is one of my favorite artists to. He's done one of my two favorite drizzt pics, but the extinky girl seems some how disportionate? Reminds me of this girl in high school some years ago. |
| DarkBard01-31-04, 11:10 PM | yeah, her arm is kinda in a weird position on the stone pillar behind her. I was told by Todd Lockwood that proportion and anatomy is extreamly important when doing figures. That is the reason why I am taking a life drawing class this semester. |
| Straploknight02-01-04, 09:11 AM | Brain's arm didn't strike me as odd, but that noodle case just doesn't seem natural. Maybe if she was a bit taller?? On the whole I like it (curse you Scott Evil). Brom's style suits the drow well. |
| Arduin02-02-04, 04:08 AM | I'd say her head is too round as well... |
| DarkBard02-06-04, 12:35 AM | You are right about the arm After I got the book, I looked at it closer and saw that it was brightened some for the wallpaper. The actual cover shows the correct shading and so it looks natural. That is when I noticed the only real flaw in the painting. I am not a swordsman, but her scabbard (and I am guessing this is Halistra considering she has a sword and Quenthel has a whip of fangs) hangs on her left side and she is holding the sword in her left hand. Maybe she switched hands when she decended the staircase? Well, yes, but considering the skull, it doesn't look like a safe place to be and if you are creeping down a dangerous staircase, why would you wield your weapon in your off hand? Xsa, I watch too much C.S.I.. Other than that, she is great. Good skin tones too. matches the black armor and everything. PS, and not to get into trouble. The book is great and Lisa Smedman rocks. |
| Arduin02-06-04, 12:53 AM | As we know, two weapon fighting is common among drow. That she switches her weapon to her left hand, as she descends the stairs then really isnt too big a problem. The two weapon fighting feat quickly makes it her main hand :) |
