One is the NJ-FR-CC club meeting where we hang out and talk to other people from the boards that can come. The other is the game being run by msatran that was a outgrowth of these meetings. I know Karsus had said at past meeting he really doesn't want to combine the two, which I agree with. I think that was the confusion here...I know I am slightly confused by it also...also if people want to watch us game or even join in (I think msatran will allow 1 or 2 more people to join the once a month game) that is fine...but not everyone would be interesting in watching a game they are not a part of so if the NJ-FR-CC meeting becomes a game less people are likely to show up...and personaly I rather talk to new people then play in a game at these meetings.

(I find myself wondering a great deal about why they are publishing these, the problem being this: They have nothing to do with each other) The big issue, of course, is Paul Kemp's next book, and what's going to happen in Sembia. I'd prefer to save that for a month from now, as they may or may not release it by then.

msatran 04-13-08, 12:25 PM	Well, we got in a gaming session this week, and it was a good one. We got through three combats and some fairly intense roleplaying in 3 and a half hours. The characters are: Gorstag, Priest of the Red Knight, Human Cleric 1 (John) Lynnae, Half Wood Elf Bard 1 (Rino) "Crazy" Ali, Human Beguiler 1 (LK) Obar of the Dwarves (GMPC) Dwarf Ranger 1 On their way to Lynnae's town, where some lumber carts are missing, they were attacked in Zazzesspur by muggers after noticing a mysterious half-elf watching them, they fought goblins and ettercaps along with the lumberjacks, and then made their way to Lynnae's little town, where they met Deximon, her mother's hired hand, and talked to her mother, who was dying of a wasting disease. That's where we ended...

These same people are, for the most part, the ones who are playing D&D. So, unless new interest arises concerning the chit-chat meetings, they are going to be put on the back-burner for now.

He was a war orphan and was taken in by the church and raised by them. He is very disciplined and very curtous. A boyscout. (If you ever saw the old show Due South very much like the Mountie from that show excpet more military). He is writting a treatise about the small group tactics of adventures.

Hi all...I had posted a while back on this thread (back when it was in the player finder part of the forums) expressing interest in coming to one of your coffee meetings, since I've been looking for local (central NJ) gamers to associate with for a while now. So I guess you could count me as "new interest" since I'm definitely interested in meeting up still. :) I don't have a whole lot of Realmslore, so my interest is more "meeting up with NJ D&Ders" as opposed to "meeting up with FR fans"...but I do like FR and have some knowledge, so I'm sure the things that would get talked about wouldn't go totally over my head, heh.
