Why isn't there an update to the Forgotten Realms campaign setting for 3.5?

Just pick up the Player Guide to Faerun. It does not have the fluff of the campaign book, but it does have rule updates.

And the web enhancement for the Player's Guide has the 3.5E update for all the 3E FR monsters from the FRCS, Monsters of Faerun, and elsewhere, though several have since been given full reworkings in Lost Empires of Faerun and elsewhere.

It'd be nice if there was someplace that had a list of the latest FR feats, prestige classes and monsters could be found. Similar to the the Comprehensive Spell Lists found in the Player's Guide to Faerun.

The closest one is the Consolidated List Index:

http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/arch/lists

It lists classes, feats, spells, and monsters ... if you know the FR titles.

Thanks.

It's something. Unfortunately, it's not Realms specific and you need to know the order the books were published if you want to know where the latest version of a feat/PRC/etc. is.

Just go to the product libary page and filter in any FR brand products.

The Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting book is mostly lore anyways. I would say that less than 3% of the book needs any revision. There are very few stats in it. The stat blocks that are in there that are 3e can pretty much be used as is anyway. It's not like there is that much difference between 3e and 3.5. In most cases you can use the info as is and convert to 3.5 on the fly.

The revisions to 3.5 have been provided in the web enhancement and in subsequent books.

There is not any compelling reason to update the FRCS at this time, at least not any cost effective reason.

Except for the Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, Monster Manual and one or two other rulebooks, Wizards doesn't republish books just for the sake of minor rules updates (and neither did TSR, or most other companies).

Yeah, but could they at least reprint, say Races of Faerun?
