I for one think it would be awesome, to actually put some vizualization to some of the places i would like to see in the realms like Waterdeep or Luthilspar on Evermeet. And just imagine the guild raids going on in undermountain to try and kill Haslaster and what about the ruins of Myth Drannor. Can you say EverWhat! |

| dawgfan02-22-04, 02:52 AM | Sorry didnt know it had been brought up before, guess i should have done a search. But i can see some of your points from the earlier post as a former eq player myself. The most fun i ever had with that game was when a group of my rl friends, some of my DnD group actually, all played together and used to group together and stuff, but it definately did get boring after a while. |
| Bifford02-22-04, 08:04 AM | The reason people (or at least myself) get bored with Everquest is that there is no real payoff to all the levelling. Players dutifully build up levels, gather weapons and spells because they subconsciounsly expect to become a powerful, influential figure akin to the heroes of fantasy literature. This never happens. It's just kill monster, get bigger sword, kill bigger monster all the way up to level 60, at which point the game effectively ends for you and you must make a new character. |
