Has anyone played any of the Total War games* (Shogun and Medieval) I've been thinking it would be pretty cool if you made a forgotten realms game along the same lines. You could have all the races with their strengths and weaknesses etc. Drow, Elves, Humans etc. you could split these up indefinatly. Possibly with minor (mercenary?) factions, such as the shadovar which you get when you take a certain region of ally with etc.. What do you think? * Total War is an epic real time strategy game. one that has something like 10,000 troops on the battlefield at once, split into divisions of around 20 to 100 units. So its commanding armies. think battles in the Two Towers (there is a similar RTS coming out based on lotr, but by a different company. you command you army on a world map which is split into regions (in an FR game this would be easy as there are alreadly regions in the sourcebook) and command your army on the battlefield in full 3D.
