Forgotten Reamls Data Base of Knowledge [Archive] - Wizards Community

such things like

Fan short stories
editors comments
towns or villege maps.

Do you guys know what im talking about right?
To all you Realms veterans out there PLEASE share your wealth of knowledge with me :).

Heres some helpful answers:

Why don't you start by buying
FRCS (The Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting)
F&P(Faiths and Pantheons)
LoD(Lords of Darkness)
Dragon Magazine Issues (187-290)

Then i'd read the dark elf trilogy by RA Salvatore, and then the Icewind Dale trilogy by RA as well,

To locate maps, you can post and request a map in the "Find me a map" (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=187171) thread.

There is also a very complete map of all of Faerun in the Dragon Magazines. It''s well worth the 20 odd bucks, plus you get the magazines.

Project Silverymoon (http://www.gemofthenorth.org/) has alot of information on the Gem of the North, Silverymoon

To obtain "editor comments" i guess you mean someone that makes the game, well there is a thread dedicated to Richard Baker, a designer of lots of FR products and DND books for many years now, The one & only "Ask The Core Rules and Supplement Authors" thread (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=129535)
