03-30-06, 09:33 AM The Forgotten Realms itself is not tied to any particular ruleset.

The Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting book published in 2001 is for the 3E game. Rules 'updates' to v.3.5 are in Player's Guide to Faerūn and on wizards.com.

The sourcebooks now being published use the v.3.5 rules.
