FR Campaign Setting for 3.5? [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-27-04, 02:48 PM I've just started up with D&D again after 15 years and I was hoping to get some answers on source books. I've looked but cannot find the info I need, please excuse me if I did not look hard enough.

Anyway, I see the Player's Guide to Faerūn is based on 3.5. Can anyone tell me if the Campaign Setting book is going to be updated to 3.5? From what I have read it sounds like I would want to get the Campaign Setting and the Player's Guide to Faerūn and in case of contradictions the Player's Guide to Faerūn wins. Personally, I'd really like to get an updated Campaign Setting book but if it's not on the radar I guess I would have to make do. Also, there does not seem to be a 3.5 errata for the Campaign Setting, did I miss it?

No such book is going to be printed, as far as we know. The Player's Guide is the 3.5 update to the FRCS and so that is the 3.5 book you should use.

But the Players' Guide does not contain all the info from the FRCS correct? So I would still want to get the FRCS if I wanted to start a campaign right?

09-28-04, 06:05 PM There are no plans to make a 3.5 FRCS, although I think I speak for many FR gamers in saying, such an item would be welcomed...along with a decent PGtF...not just a bunch of crunch mashed together into a to small overpriced book.

09-28-04, 06:32 PM With the SRD and/or the 3.5 books its very very easy to update any 3.0 material to 3.5. I would call the new one more like 3.1 or 3.2.
