Rothgar Skullsplitter 01-15-04, 10:21 PM	I've seen this done on other boards, and I figured I'd give it a shot here and see how it goes. This is gonna be a :censored::censored::censored::censored: :censored: without a poll, but what the hell right? :D Here's the deal: First off, I want to make this clear to everyone...THERE WILL BE NO ROLEPLAYING OF THESE BATTLES WHAT SO EVER. ZERO. NADDA. NONE. Each person who signs up picks 5 people to be on their team. The teamsmust consist of the following - 1 mage, 1 cleric, 1 rogue, 1 fighter, 1 misc. For misc you can pick another mage, or cleric, or what not if you like. Or you can go with something more exotic, like a monk...it's all up to you. Only two epic level characters are allowed per team. There are no race restrictions, though your characters must be humanoids. No dragons. And you may use characters from Novels that still have yet to be stated up. You just have to say what class the character in question is and if they are uber or not. 'Cause if you lie, and I find out, you'll be disquallified. Heh :D Each team must consist of at least one female character. And absolutely no homebrewed characters allowed. All together, there will be 16 teams in the bracket, and each team mus have a name (whatever the hell you want). Once all the 16 slots have been filled, the teams will be paired up randomly by me, and the first round will begin. The winners will be decided by voting form board members, and voting will be open for 7 days. Only one vote per member too, and you must vote once for each fight or your vote wont count. Each round the teams will be trimmed down until only one remains and is crowned the DTT Champion. :D That's all I can think of for now, but if you have any questions ask away. :) Oh, and if someone has a character you want on your team, you may take them as well; double, triples, and such of a character are allowed. That reminds me, I forgot to mention that you can switch out characters as much as you want and as long as it meets the requirements. But, when the first round begins, whatever team you have at the time you're stuck with.

That was one stupid freakin' rule if you ask me. I'd say he comes off more as a rogue myself, but if everyone objects I'll switch him out. :D And that's a nice team you've got there Crust, but you have two too many ubers. You'll have to switch them out.

cwslyclgh 01-17-04, 02:15 PM	Hmmm...I'd have to say that Entreri is moer of a fighter than he is a rogue...so, kedi and Falkomur, you'll have to switch him out. c'mon Rothy, Artimus from his portrayal in the novels is as good a rogue as he is fighter (think of his roguishness when he slips ito Moriks home, or into that compound to get charonsclaw... infact from all of his apearences with the exception of his going toe to toe with drizzt I would say that Artimis is more roguish (much more) then he is fightery, infact most of the people he kills are by sneak attack ;)

cwslyclgh 01-18-04, 07:41 PM	some of you are choosing undead and I feel obliged to say that a cleric will put them out of the game in the first round... Many if not all of the undead listed are epic level and, while many of clerics listed around 20th level, maybe a couple more... but with 29 levels and +4 trun resistance (Szss tam for example) a 20th level cleric (or even a 22nd level cleric) would have a hell of a time turning him... also turning only has a range of 60 feet.... so the cleric will probably not even be in the range for a turn attempt on the first round :)

Yeah, sure...why not...Paladins, Barbarians, and Rangers fall into the Fighter catagory, than Bards fall into Rogue...I'd say the same goes for Druid and Priest as well (so you're cool Kezghan). ;) And as for the Level Adjustments and CRs and what not...since this is the first of what I hope to be many DTTs, I'm gonna be as lenient as I possibly can. So, as long as the character's levels don't go over 20, I'm cool with it. :D And on another note, I am surprised no one has chosen Elminster yet... :eek:

Srin and El are epic, Cadderly is only 20th level.... and Rothy specifically said to only include class levels not ecl adjustments etc when determining your epic characters, there for Cads not epic, and neither is Drizzt... and looking at howm much of a bumbling fool Malyk is in Crucible I doudt seriously he is epic level.

Karsus (Netheril epic Lich Wizard 41): Everyone knows Karsus, the destroyer of magic. The most powerful wizard ever to have existed. Known for his great acts of killing the Goddess of magic, and crafting the only 12 level spell ever. He along with Ioulaum are the only wizards to have ever attained the level 41. Even the Avatar of Mystra looks bleak compared to Karsus. Ioulaum (Netheril epic Lich wizard 41 Misc) If Karsus was the Beethoven of Magic, Ioulaum was the Mozart. Born in 544 NY (-3315 DR) this ultra mage would be over 4600 years old today. The creator of the first Mythallar and the first flying Enclave in Netheril History, he is said to have trained over 3000 arcanists, and has been given the blame for being a major catalyst for all Netherese spellcraft, the spellcraft that none other has ever matched in the history of Faerun. Ioulaum was not only a great mage, but a great general. Ioulaum led a major battle bringing thousands of Nether spellcasters and warriors to mount an attack against the larges concentration of Orcs in Netheril, and after 16 months of a campaigning 150.000 orcs where killed by Ioulaum and his army. This great campaign gave name to the two mountains known as Bone Hill and Thunder Peak. Olostin (Netheril Fighter 20) Olostin’s name is remembered even in today’s history for his ruthless murders in Netheril. You need to be carved out of stone to be able to survive that long and at such a high position in Menzoberranzan. Lord Tagreth Cormaeril Fig3/rog7/asn7 (rogue): The leader of the Fire Knives, title: The Greandfather of Assassins. I know he might be of some age now, but I think he fits in the Elder Horde group. He was picked for his assassin skills. He was the only 7 level assassin I could find in any FR book. He might look old and frail, but he is far from it. Having levels mostly in Rog/Asn, he makes a perfect killer, that any party should be proud of. Any Cormyrian nobility should shake in there boots by his name..
