08-22-03, 07:25 AM Welcome everybody, this is the Fight Arena for Fight Club members. We'll play game on this thread so please don't bumb or post anything except for match days. You can find rules and information in FR Fight Club (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=85249&perpage=30&pagenumber=1) Membership is free and were open to anybody, Our good old arena is 500ft length. Join up people!(by the way, it's free to post in match days for everybody)

I would like to set a date and time to August 22nd, 6pm (Eastern time) if that is at all conveniant for you. I challenge Roland Goodknight to a match to the death. Normally I prefer Mage Duels (as outlined in Magic of Faerun), but Roland does not have true power as I do and his stench of righteousness offends my senses more and more by the hour. I must end it.

I await your reply.

Second, anything in *stars* are official actions by my character, anything in "quotations" are things my character are saying aloud.

Third, don't metagame! Just because I say something doesn't mean your character knows it (unless it has stars or quotations that is). Its bad enough that you are making all the rolls and you are currently my opponent.

"You'll have to find me first Paladin!"

*Casts Greater Invisibility and steps to the left 30 feet*

I am now roughly 360 feet in front of your paladin and 30 feet to his right.

The bat swarm appears exactly 310 feet diagonal (down and to Roland's left) of your paladin and the swarm moves to within 150 feet of Roland.

The swarm run/flies thee remaining 120 feet to ROland and envelops him in their many biting fangs. HE takes 1d6 damage and should have 1 point of wounding on the next round. He also has to make a fortitude save DC 11 or become nauseated. Roland gets an AoO.

Bat swarm attacks for another 1d6 (no attack roll required) and you take your first point of wound damage as well. Now you must make your save or become nauseated since you started your turn in the swarm.

<Ronald suffers a little, but he is positively not unconcious, there are white flames are coming from Ronald's blade, ronald makes an deadly attack at swarm, swarm seem to be hurt bad, but he fights as he always did.>

Assuming the swarm is still alive, it does a little more damage (1d6) to Roland (and tries to nauseate him as well) and should disipate as my avatar's concentration ended 2 rounds ago.

How many temporary hit poitns do I gain (1d10+10)?

<Ronald seems to hurt, but he makes an excellent attack on swarm, and the swarm falls down. He seems like dead, but you have really no idea. Ronald prays to his god for a little time, than his wounds seems to get better...>
You can cast a spell before he acts(praying), what are you doing?

08-22-03, 11:56 AM RavenDark isn't close enough to get an AoO, nor is he armed with a melee weapon.

*Quietly draws out his longsword and uses his other hand to cast Evard's Black Tentacles centered on Roland*

Roland is now surrounded by grasping tentacles which immedietly start grappling him (Grapple Check +18) and crushing him for 1d6+4 points of damage each turn (for the next 10 rounds) if he fails his opposed check on my avatar's turns (starting now).

Even if Roland succeeds at the grapple check and tries to move out he can only move at half his normal speed as the tentacles will surely count as an obstacle. :devil:

Now, did you mean that a few rounds have passed for the characters or were you ackknowledging that my Greater Invisibility spell has 2 rounds left?

My tentcles are still present and any magical defenses he had up are (hopefully) dispelled.

Since you asked, I have been playing 2nd-3.5 Edition for 10 years and have been on theses boards longer than my post count will admit (add 169 to my current post count for a more accurate representation).

*Casts Maximized Ray of Enfeeblement at Roland and carefully moves around the outer parameter of the spell's area*

R.D. is on the opposite side of the spell's effect in relation to Roland's exit point (Roland would have to go around it or through it to get to R.D.). I am invisible for one more round, right?
