| feygan07-01-04, 08:26 AM | Something that I've not seen alot of is canon/non-canon FR foods. I've seen stuff on herbs, trees, poisons and even drinks. But apart from the very few entries in material such as Volo's and also Dragonlance Inn of the Last home. Theres nothing on foods. (accounted for aurora's catalog) Anyone know of any sources of canon or non-canon FR foods? |

| Kuje3107-01-04, 12:37 PM | Aurora's Whole Realms Catalog also has some food in it, as well as many other things. |
| Another Gnome07-01-04, 06:47 PM | But apart from the very few entries in material such as Volo's... Very few? I always get hungry when reading Volo's Guides. Maybe my memory is just failing me, but the thing I do best remember from the Guides are the references to foods and drinks of various inns and taverns (Volo's Guide to Sword Coast in particular, as that's the only one I have as an actual book). I really need to try out some of the recipes there some day... :turkey: |
| Ssussunriyh07-03-04, 02:00 AM | The "walking tour" given in The City of Raven's Bluff included the house specialties and critic's choices of the various inns, taverns, and restaurants described therein (although the tour guide's fondness for fried eel may be taken as a bit of a warning sign...) |

| Autosponge07-03-04, 11:55 PM | If I link it I'll get banned. |
| Gray Richardson07-04-04, 11:31 AM | The Volo's guides have tons of local food listed under "Provender" beneath each tavern, inn and festhall listing. The guides are chock full of interesting info about food and how it is prepared. I remember that in Luskan you can get a dish made with rat that, aside from the rat, actually sounded quite tasty. |
| Gray Richardson07-04-04, 11:35 AM | Oh also, Kuje's link to Ed Greenwood's answers to various questions asked of him in forums has some great food info. I remember that he went into quite some detail about local delicacies in Tantras, there's all sorts of wonderful info in his link at the bottom of his sig. Which happens to be: http://www.geocities.com/kuje31/ed.doc |
