Karsus the Mad 01-20-05, 02:47 PM	Shadowed Age (-696 DR to -340 DR) -696 Year of Great Rains: Karsus is born. -681 Year of Nightmares: Netherese arcanists emigrate to the Demiplane of Nightmares. The magical energies of that nightmarish realm transform their descendants into an assortment of horribly twisted creatures known as the Night Parade. -669 Year of Summer Frosts: Karsus creates the enclave of Eileanar. In all other sources/cannon, Karsus was 22 when he created his enclave (tho no clue where Eileanar came from, sounds great!), and not 27 as the Lost Empires timeline shows. Is this just a mistype, or is this going to be official? And will there be other official timeline changes that will superscede and contradict old ones purposely?

Iakhovas 01-20-05, 07:30 PM	It times like these, it's often wise you use your best judgment. I would not blindly assume that a date changed in a recent sourcebook is automatically canon, especially if no reason is given for the change. Errors do slip in to these sourcebooks from time to time.
BrianCritchley 01-20-05, 07:41 PM	maybew creating the enclave took a few years and he started it at 22 and ended it at 27? or maybe he initally created a smaller enclave at 22 and abandoend it for a bigger and better one at 27?
Gray Richardson 01-20-05, 08:10 PM	Well, who really remembers stuff that happened over 2,000 years ago all that well? It could be that previous sources were just in error and the new dates reflect more accurate historical data.
BrianCritchley 01-20-05, 08:17 PM	indeed. very likely as most 2e sources where IC and that a whole new calender system has come into the fore since then. how many times have there been the occasinal mix up du e to screw ups between the gregorian calender and the Julian Claender
