Future Undermountain product? [Archive] - Wizards Community

Hello all,

I am rather fascinated by the Undermountain adventure, and I want to add Undermountain to my current campaign. However, I want to try to be as legit as possible, and give my players the true Undermountain experience.

I have been doing a lot of research digging up some of the old Undermountain products, and some of them I was able to aquire from the WOTC product archive (thanks guys!).

And, with the new Return to Undermountain contest, and a recent article about traps in Undermountain, I was just wondering if there was the possibility that there may be a new Undermountain product in the future?

If this question could be answered, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Not that we've heard and I doubt it since WOTC is updating it on the web. :)

If that is the case, then my question is: will they update the whole adventure? From what my research indicates, six levels is quite a bit of drawing!

Hope they like drawing :P

I doubt they'll update all of Undermountain. Hells, even some of the rooms they did update on the web were never detailed in the original box sets and modules.

Only 6 levels??????

I thought there were at least 12. Not to mention, sub-levels and whatnot.

Is this something new? Did WotC change the format of Undermountain when I wasn't paying attention?

*Note to self: Must pay better attention*

The original boxed set had 9 major levels and 14 sub-levels, IIRC. (The number is in City of Splendors: Watedeep.) I went through all the existing lore, and figured out that most of those levels or sub-levels had been named and/or given a bit of info in some source or the other. A complete roster is now available in CoS:W.

I also did a write-up of Vanrakdoom, one of the sub-levels, for Champions of Ruin.

Phew....thanks Eric...for a minute there I thought I would have a panic attack.

Good to see that I didn't miss anything.

I loved my time in Undermountain. Can't wait to go back!

btw....Champions of Ruin was an excellent read.

Anything's possible. With the release of the Shackled City adventure (or whatever it's called, but I think that's right), maybe they will release it in the future as an oversized, pricey, hardcover module.
Not that I expect it, but it is possible.

Please tell WotC to redo Undermountain. Or at the very least can we get the web stuff collected together in one download, I have not been able to find it all.

All the links for the new series are in my WOTC FAQ of Links in the FR FAQ's section of the boards.
