| Drath'ri07-19-05, 12:48 AM | I need to know how much a multitude of gems weigh... like how many to a pound.. I dont need any large arguments saying some gems weigh more then others and that some are bigger then others... none of that. i just need like a 20 to a pound ratio or something like that. like how its 50 coins to a pound even though gold weighs alot more then silver actually would... thanks in advance -Drath'ri |

And if you want to get a little more complex (http://www.rockhounds.com/rockshop/gem_designs/gem_weight_form.shtml) here is a website that has most of the gems out there. Now all the weight on the site is down in karats. So remember this 1 carat=1 tenth of a gram, 100 grams=1 kilogram, 1 kilogram roughly equals 2lb. Now i am no gem expert but i think that that was right(if not someone please correct me). Or if you have the game Morrowind you could just use the gem weights in that. EDIT: Ya know what I would just ignore what I said and use something like 5-8 gems equals a pound and save yourself a lot of trouble |
