General Realms questions [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-27-05, 01:46 PM I was going to ask about these things over on Candlekeep, but, in addition to the official answer, I was curious as to how others tackled these issues in their games (if they tackled them at all).

What is the average state of personal hygene in the Realms? Bathing, brushing teeth, clean clothes, etc?

Is there anything remotely resembling plumbing? Is it like ancient Rome (not too shabby) or medieval europe (non-existent)?

When you stay at an inn, are there personal bathrooms, public bathrooms or any bathrooms at all?

On the road, do your characters stop to bathe when they come upon a place to do so? Do they brush their teeth when they wake in the morning and before they go to sleep?

Yeah, silly questions, but I love the mundane stuff - it can bring depth to a character and a game.

Anyway, Attn: Kuje: If Ed has answered any of these questions before, could you point the way for me? I'd hate to ask a question that's already been answered a waste everyone's time.
