Is this a new introduction to a 4th edition mechanic or did come from a novel? |
| Iakhovas10-13-07, 03:21 PM | Sounds like something related to the events depicted in Darkvision, except that novel occurred in 1374 DR. |

| Lord Karsus10-13-07, 04:00 PM | -I don't have the novel Darkvision on me, since I am moving again, and it's packed away, but I believe at the end of Darkvision that the family that was integral to the story was planning on going back into business with those implants, however minus the evil influence of Pandorym. |

Thanks...then it makes sense as it would take time to become popular. Is it related at all to psionics? |

| Strife02610-14-07, 01:42 AM | In Darkvision, the man who found the crystal and created the crystal implants was able to control the minds of people who had crystal implants installed in their bodies. Since he wasnt a psion of any type, the crystal could contain certain properties related to psionics. However, with the influence of the being Pandorym in the crystal, i think its more likely that the crystal is some sort of magnifier, but as LK said no stats have been released yet. |
