07-09-07, 08:05 PM Githyanki never had a strong presence in the Realms. They were always much more of a presence in the Planescape setting and I think maybe in Dark Sun to some extent.

There are no FR novels that I am aware of that touch on the Githyanki or their struggle with the Illithids.

You will find more info in the Planar Handbook. There is a lot about them in the Guide to the Astral Plane as well. Also in the Planescape videogame Torment. And in several articles in Dragon and Dungeon magazines.

07-10-07, 02:14 AM -As was mentioned in your other thread, The Sojourner was a Gith subrace, but no Illithid made any cameos, and the Sojourner did not express any kind of antipathy towards Mind Flayers.

-The video game Demonstone featured a powerful Githyanki as an enemy, but I do not believe that she mentioned anything regarding Illithid either.

07-10-07, 09:58 AM there is something about githyanki in the Class Chronicles Archive on the wizards homepage (it's in one of the Psionic Classes and Races articles). It says nothing about illithid struggles though...

There were Gith, which seem like they decended from either of the clans of Gith or were a third group (now that I'm writing this I seem to remember that they were a third, rather than decending from the other two).

Anyhow, they weren't much like the other clans of Gith (Githyanki or Githzerai), as far as I recall, they were much more akin to orcs (in spirit, not in body *g*)

And I know of no novels that involve this struggle.
