Howdy,

My only knowledge of Faerun includes a copy of FR v3.0(its a loan) , and a love of playing all the Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale titles for the PC. My players wanted this world to play, and they know a bit more about it due to the Fiction they have read.To help i have created a small island/continent, a remote outpost of humanity, just to get the players away from the main continent and the places they know a bit more than i do.

I had some questions i thought i would throw out and see if i could get an idea ....

Where do i place a British Isle type land mass on the map of Toril that would be most interesting and realistic to the players?

What would you do to oppose a young (lvl 6 soon) preist of Tempus (Lord of Battles)? Who is this guy's adversary? (hehe the local paladin and mayor dont like em =) What god opposes Tempus? Who is this god anyways?

Anyone heard of a "Moonblade of Selune"?

Thanks for the input!

I have time for a short response. The Moonshae Islands were added to FR to give it a very celtic type taste. I would recommend there.

There are some ancient elven weapons called moonblades. They have nothing to do with Selune, though.

There are a lot of other stuff about Selune that might be of interest. There is a PrC of a selunite militant called a Moonstar.

As stated, the Moonshaes (in the Sea of Swords) are the FR equivalent of a Celtic Britain.

Tempus is the god of battles and war. While he encourages battle all the time as a way of solving problems, he has a strict code of honor that he expects his priests to follow. He isn't actively opposed by any deity except for Garagos the Reaver, who is now reduced to being a demigod of bloodlust (he was once THE god of war, in the times of Netheril and so). The best way to chellenge a priest of Tempus is to provide a constant stream of issues that can be solved more easily by peaceful methods, but that he should attempt to solve in battle.

Moonblade of Selune is a Selunite spell that creates a sword of force that Selunites can wield with proficiency. It is unrelated to the Elven Moonblades.
