As the DM i am required to put foward campains. My players asked me to create a small HACK AND SLASH campain to increase their levels a little. I am in two frames of mind where as to do this but could anyone suggest a good short campain??

There's no way you can tie combat into your story? It has to be dungeon delving or something of that sort?
Honestly, compromising is fine when you and your players talk out something they might want in the game, but you don't have to sacrifice the plot of your campaign for it.
Unless your story was weak enough to just drop, in which case, nevermind what I said.
Adding to that, it's hard to say "Do this." or "Take them here." without knowing their average level and where the campaign is located. That information would be a little useful.

Might I suggest the new FR adventure "Sons of Gruumsh"? It might take some adjustments, but it's pretty standard hack and slash.

Undermountain is a good place for a short hack and slash campaign, also Myth Drannor can could be a good place. All you have to do for a short hack and slash in Myth Drannor is tone down the monster levels and the CR's just a tad (since you didn't tell us what leevel the characters are right now) and keep the pc's on the outer edge of the ruins.

What lvls are they? What alignments?

I had my campaign start at 3rd and the group was brought together to retrieve magic items that were taken from a towns heros after they were murdered. They had a few leads and found out several little power groups in the region had one or two items in their organization. The party had to go after each organization (bandits, slavers, barbarians, and a hobgoblin warlord) and get the items back. Lots of killing. Lots of decent xp. Lots of little plot twists as well. How did each group get their items? Was their a mastermind behind the original group of heros deaths? After they got all of the items they were told they could keep them by the town. They also found out a cleric of Talos was behind the whole scenario. He killed the heros and then gave the weapons to several groups he was funding so he could sow disrest and fear into the Silver Marches.
