I know you celebrate easter but you do not have the same customs about Easter as we do that's what i meant and the few people from the USA i have met told me that. Sorry, my english isn't perfect I know! We dress up in costumes like Halloween in a two week period before the 40 day long fasting (is that the word? You know not eating milk eggs meat etc) which precedes the two weeks of Easter. We celebrate Easter with large quantities of food wine and traditional music! The two week period is also vacation period for schools!

It's been a tradition for three years now and it's been a blast each time. Get drunk, play DnD, dress up as fictional characters of your creation, and eat yourself silly with candy...what more could you want in life? Sounds like Brightwater...

The difference is that we eat certain kinds of food in Easter (in quantities though!)! Savras 11-01-03, 01:14 PM	Well, in Israel we don't have Halloween, or Easter. We do have many other holidays (Purim, Pesach, for instance), but we don't have these two. Only this year, a friend of mine and a friend of hers decided they will have a Halloween party, and it was a blast. See my thread on the Rec for more. Savrs
