after some years of pause, I'm starting a new rpg party. I didn't like the old AD&D rules (too unrealistic, also if the new 3ed have improved) so I choose to use the Harnmaster rules.
Having a LOT of materials from the old FR setting I've choose the FR as the setting for my campaigns. Someone of you have already do this? some suggestion for the conversion?

Take a Look here at the Current System for D&D (http://wizards.com/default.asp?x=d20/article/srd35)

I have friends that detested D&D and now they can tolerate it with the D20 system. They still prefer GURPS, but they will "lower" themselves to play D20 though.

I know the 3.5ed (actually I'm playing it in a Mystara campaign) but I prefere the Harnmaster system:
- no PF, you have "real" wounds that have to be healed with magic or with rest
- no strictly classes, the system is ability-based
- no xp or levels, you increase your abilities using them
- the combat is always dangerous
- no spells-per-level, you can cast as many times as you want, but more spells you cast more exausted you are more probably you fail the spell with a misfire effect

You might dig up someone who has done this here, but we mostly use D20 3.5. I would suggest the FR mailing list for this question, since there are alot of.. lets say.. Old Timers? on that list, still using 2.ed and tons of homebrew, might be that someone had converted the whole thing into Harnmaster rules.
