| slasherdan07-15-04, 11:15 AM | First off ... if you haven't, then you should most likely not read this post or any replies because they may contain spoilers. If you have read the book and do not intend on reading them then feel free ... First off I liked this book. For some reason the last one didn't sit well while I read the entire book. It was TO predictable. This one was not. I knew in the end Lolth would come back and that someone in the group was going to be part of her return .. But Ryld???? I was a little shocked and disappointed .... I would have thought he was going to make it.... It takes me back to my first experience of reading Martin's Game of Thrones ..... Oh well .... there were a few things that were brought up in the end that were a little "anti-drow" .... Like regenerating the Half-Demon's hand when he basically went against his aunt's wishes. If she cared about keeping him in line she shouldn't have as a lesson as to what happens to someone that doesn't follow her lead. Gromp should have taken care of everything without his sister's help too ... It kind of makes him a little less in my eyes. |
