Hi anyone,

I am currently playing with some guys the classic 2nd edition advenutre 'For Duty and Deity'. For anyone who do not know, this adventure brings the group to some planes in the Abyss where they must try to rescue Waukeen the last and still lost Godess of Trade from the grasp of a demon lord. This adventure should end in some good huge and sufficient reward for all the characters.

The problem I have now is that I found for all of the characters a very nice reward like:

Example: There is a Ranger in the group who also insisted in fullfilling a short side quest within the adventure to rescue 2 unicorns (off course) and they succeeded. In the final he will be rewarded by Milleki himself (remember the final will take place with Waukeen, Liira, a Gnyosphinx and a huge host of celestials at bay on the plane of Waukeen) with the gift to get access to priest powers like a full priest instead of the limited access like Rangers normally had.

BUT for one of the Characters I do not have any idea...

The Character is a Psionic/thief and I do not know how to reward him. Does anyone have a nice idea...

Have you tried asking the player what his/her character might want or consider a good reward?

What about a large sum of money? Or, a way that the rogue can generate the money on his own. Perhaps a relic or ownership of a shrine that would bring in many paying guests. Or, the recipe for something that he can sell and make a good amount of money off of.

Thanks for the replies so far...

The problem is that the chars allready nearly got everything the wanted as the Adventure itself is very dangerous...

Let me detail:

Atlan, Drow Ranger (guess why) Elven Chainmail Suit (looks awesome), one magic Longbow with Fire Arrows, 2 magic Sabres etc...
Companions: Funkel, a Moon Dog

Giggs, Athasian Halfling Psionic/Thief, Gnomish Leather Armor, 1 Shadow Shortsword, etc...
Companions: Puggy, a desperate Wererat Thief; Koresh and Karesh, Githzerai Twin Brothers who owe him a favour

etc.

The group also have a Flying Carpet and a Apparatus of Kwalish and all of them got a few more minor magic Items and so on...

The main goal I wanted to achieve is that they should NOT rewarded with any more items.

All chars for instance gain as much as experience points to reach the next level up to 1 point less then the overnext level.

The Problem is that I cannot get a grasp on the whole Psionics Thing...

What would a Psionicist want to have?
More access to Psionic Powers?
Is there a epithome of Psionic advancement?
Becoming crystal and a full embodiement of his psionic Powers?
Becoming etheral and a full embodiement of his psionic Powers?
Becoming one with his mind?
He is also a thief but allready is perfect at thieving!
Granted a unique power like...?

It could off course be something crazy, but I do not want to ask them (only as backdoor).

>Or, a way that the rogue can generate the money on his own.
This IS a nice idea. If the char would be a Dwarf I certainly will take this. But as a matter of fact he is more a psionicist as a thief.

Give him a divine rank 0, he is the first Psion on the path to godhood in this world.

Yeah, have Waukeen support his application for divine rank 0 to Ao. Another good one is to raise his primary Psionic ability by a few points, and give him a big hunk of extra power points to spend.

For instance, if his primary ability is Str and its at 22, raise it up to 24 or 26 and have Waukeen grant him a bonus of 30 or 40 power points each day.

That will make the psion considerably more powerful, and is comparable to the increase for your ranger.
