Hi everybody, I'm currently running a campaign in Cormyr where all the PC where orphans saved from a Mind-Flayer community by some Purple Dragon Knights. They all were raised by a temple in Suzail and at the beggining of the campaign they were called for military duty in the Purple Dragons. As their first assignment they were sent in the King's Forest to give assistance in Daedluk against some orc raiders.
They suited very well for the job and returned to Suzail to ressurect the group's rogue, while there they started to make some money illegally (Noble's houses, street pickpocketing, false magic item trade and so on), with all these money they opened an Adventurer's Guild as a fake mask for a more profitable Thieves Guild, while trying to recover some allies to conquer Cormyr, they contacted the Fire Knives in Westgate, there they were forced to face the Night Masks and their leaders. After this I thought to play something very hard for them and I choose a Greyhawk adventure "Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil".

As anyone knows it is played in the Lortmil Mountains in GH, so it is nearly difficult to convert it for FR, so I thought this:

Cormyr would be Furyondy

The Dales would be Veluna

The mountains north of Cormyr would be the place, inserting a Drow city under those mountains

Cyric would be Iuz

Zuggtmoy remais as she is, Lolth too

The real problem is Tharizdun, is there an elemental deity voted to evil that should fit the role or should I insert Tharizdun in the FR? Can somebody help me?

They were rescued as children from mindflayers by the Cormyrian government and now they want to overthrow it? What a bunch of ingrates! However you manage it, take them down a peg.

Moander usually takes the place of Thurizden in FR. Sure, one is rot and the other is insane, but they are both evil and despised gods who are killed, but keep coming back. I find it not too far a stretch, since the elves hated Moander for the corruption of their life-style and a bit of a moral corruption. Just play up that part of Moander.

As for Iuz, I would use someone other the Cyric. Remember that he is a really young god. You can't have anything about an old temple to him or him involved in an old temple as he wasn' around for long.

Just a couple of ideas, Iuz = Bane or possibly Jergal. Back in the day, Jergel did posess a bigger portfolio then he does now. I haven’t read the adventure so I don’t know if it would fit.

Next, Thurizden possibly consider him Ghaunadaur, Ghaunadaur is much more then a Drow deity. Insane and all is this guy, always infests temples from others… give it a tought.

I doubt that Alusair is going to take kindy to this. She'd be pretty upset if she got a hold of them.
Don't forget that if they get carried away, Vanderghast isn't dead just out of the action. If they get going well against Cormyr than he might resurface!

I don't know how they maniged to get together with the FIre Knives and not draw attention to themselves, especially if the Fire Knives are in COrmyr with them. The crown, nor the nobles dedicated to the crown will have forgotten that the Fire Knives are only there to kill the Obarskyr family and the nobles loyal to it. Considering that the knives were driven out only two years ago, at the beginning of the Goblin War, chances are the nobles alive have not forgotten faces. Nor may I remind you has Alusair. She will defo9nately go at these guys full out, for all the country is worth with the life of her nephew on the line. I would think about the implications of them back and how secretive they would have to be.
