My PCs have been going up and down The Silver Marches, and, for a change, I'm getting them to the Underdark, Iv'e got it until south of Darklake(middledark, below The Evermoors).

The idea is to get them out of Silver Marches,
possible destiny:*Waterdeep
*The Sword Coast(south)
*Almost any region a little far south from SM

Always getting them by underdark and best if any idea includes messing up their sense or orientation so they don't know were they emerge.

Thanks

Have them chase a foe through a 1 way portal that leads to Skullport(under waterdeep), Many things can be started in skullport any kind of adventure(treasure, underdark, undermounta in,sea(pirate) etc.)

There are caravan routes between SM area and Luskan, but I think you are looking for something further away.

The portal is not that bad an idea.

Almost any travel in the underdark can mess with sence of direction.

A collapsing passageway, while the charicters on on it, sliding them into another cavern is a definate way to mess with perspective.

Various elements in the underdark (Iorn deposits, Farezes{sp}, and other unspecified infuances) can mess with any compass or Survivel checks (Intuit direction in 3.0) so direction could be a mystery.

There is the possiblity of underground rivers.

Perhaps the party runs into some dwarves that are needing help getting into some ancient dwarven ruins? They ask the party to help them out in some ruins filled with traps and some other race. Perhaps grimlocks? The dwarves can then help them to the surface when done....but of course, it is far away from the Silver Marches.

Thanks, I though about almost all of them (for some misterious reason I forgot portals).
Their entrance to the Underdark was already planned through a landslide, an about the rivers, the Surbrin flows throug the surface and the middledark.
And about complications, The Darklake is a mercantile route, used by Duergars, Drows(especially, since Menzoberrazan is near) and others. And there is a good excuse for the travel to be "broken" and the PCs drawn to the Surbrin, A Kraken.

Now I have the begining, but any idea is apreciated.

Thanks
