Help making a character Background [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-08-03, 06:33 AM Although I love Fearun, I actually am not knowledgeable at all in all its location and local cultures.

I am establishing an Elven (Moon) Rogue character, a worshiper of Erevan Ilesere.

I have some idea on his background for being a son of a performing Bard, but I have no idea on where is a good place for him to gown up or have lived.

Would any of you Fearun fan can give me some suggestions on where should my Elven Rogue be coming form?

11-08-03, 06:57 AM Evermeet and Evereska are two elven nations that have been recently ravaged by war any of the two would be a good place to start your character from. I’m sure that many elves have lost their homes and lively hood to the after affects of war so what better reason to go out and seek adventure to make your mark on the world.

11-08-03, 08:06 AM Theres a brief write up on them in the FRCS also the novels Evermeet Island of the elves by Elaine Cunningham is a great resource for any elven character also theres the novels Return of the Archwizards trilogy by Troy Denning that will provide you with knowledge on Evereska and the return of the Shade enclave both are great reads that will help you see the elven point of view along with there traditions and cultural conditioning.

I just got done read Evermeet Island of the elves yesterday and I give it two enthusiastic thumbs up it’s a well done novel but it was very slow for me at the beginning probly because I have a rather poor outlook on the elves to begin with but once I got into it I couldn’t set the darn thing down it’s a very insightful book and I would recommend it to any one who wants to learn more about elves with in the realms.

Also check out the time line in your FRCS in the back of the book it will give you a very basic run down of the history of the realms as a whole and also Evermeet but I’m not to sure about Evereska since the return of shade is quit resent and think it comes about at the end of the time line where the FRCS presumes the current campaign is taking place of course many changes and events have happened to the realms since the FRCS has been published and the time line is steadily advancing which we may see more information of this hopefully in the Forgotten Realms Players Guide which is coming out some time after charismas I believe.

I dont know if I could get thosue books. But I was more interested in its location, in terms or which town/city/place is it near and so on.

11-08-03, 09:01 PM Evermeet is an island far to the west of Waterdeep which is the homeland of the elves also Evereska is located near Silverymoon but not in the Silvermarches I think its in between the High Forest and the Anauroch in the Western heart lands.
