| Lenin9711-10-03, 11:33 AM | Hi everyone, I'm building a 7th level Cleric of Torm. My group is light on melee fighters so I built him towards that end. I had 18500gp to purchase equipment. What I've chosen so far was a +1 Greatsword and a +2 Mithral Breastplate for a total cost of 10700gp leaving me with 7800gp left to spend. What do you think I should purchase? |

| Darth K'Trava11-11-03, 07:56 PM | Gee... I missed all those when I was creating my cleric of Torm awhile back.... But then I don't own that book..... And you don't have to take fighter levels, it only hurts your spellcasting abilities. Granted, I took the Divine Champion class for mine since it suit the character better than a "plain ol' fighter" did... ;) I don't even want to start listing all the magic stuff she carries... but then she's an epic character.... :D Aim for making that greatsword a Holy Greatsword sometime in the future when you get enough gold to do so. Protective items come in handy as you'll want to be in the middle of any fight. And that Shield that was mentioned, hope it's an animated one because you can't weild that sword and hold one at the same time. |

Also, instead of a greatsword, maybe take an aspergilium (forgot from which book they were described, I think it was Defender's of the faith). Saves you on the martial weapon profiency feat which could be used elsewhere, and you would have a free hand for a shield. |
