Hi all

I am in the process of creating a campaign in Cormyr, and I am having some problems I hope you could help me with.
- First of all, I don't know very much about FR or Cormyr, though I am studying a lot; also I have read the Cormyr trilogy.
- My players' CPs are mid level (9-15), and they had their adventures in Cormyr with other DM. This means one of them (a druid) is the ruler of the Hullack Forest, appointed by Azoun IV; he is also a friend of Vangerdahast. Other is a black sheep from a noble house of rich merchants; as the player didn't specify which one, I have thought in Bleth family.
- We have played some adventures about Hullack Forest, in which:
a) they have discovered and lose a Dethek rune that (unknown to them) opens the gates of Thunderholme. I want Aurglorosa and the Cult of the Dragon to be a long-term threat in the campaign.
b) They have agreed a pact with the few elves that remains in Hullack to protect the forest.
- I want to play a political adventure in which the regent queen, given the needs of the population, wants Hullack to be cleared of monsters so it can be farmed. The time could be about 1373-1374 (we play a couple adventures per game year). The main opponents would be the Huntsilver, which I think have interest in Hullack.
- The next one adventure I want to play is "The Dragon's Lair", in which the Pcs could earn so much treasure for Cormyr to make Alusair "forgive" the forest, or instead align themselves with the faction of the "Freedom Fighters". Vangerdahast could give advice on this adventure to his druid friend.
So I would like any kind of comments on these ideas, because I want to adjust the campaign to the timeline of Cormyr and the official sources, this is: the political and social environment of Cormyr, the role of the families and other important people as Vangy, Tanalasta, etc.
Thanks in advance

Some advice ;) :

- Vangerdahast has retired, the current court wizard is Caladnei.
- The Bleths have been banned from Cormyr (they now live in Westgate).

I knew this, but I suppose he is still in the royal palace. As the druid is his friend, they could have some words.

Well, this is the kind of thing I was expecting  . Why did this happen? Maybe I can use it in the adventure.

-Vangerdahast is no longer in the palace, or even regularly seen anywhere in Cormyr. Caladnei's in charge.

-The Bleths were banished, and stripped of their titles, at the end of Cormyr: A Novel. As Azoun says in the epilogue, "Their lands are seized, their titles are stripped from them, and some will be exiled." A character descended from that family could certainly still be around in Cormyr, struggling to establish himself as a loyal Cormyrean, separated from the rest of the formerly noble clan and striving for lands and titles of his own.
