Vespertilius 08-19-03, 12:20 PM	hi ppl.i dont know if this is the right place for that,and if not,sorry! i am a "tipe of Kangaxx data colector", i love that sub-quest in BG2,and i realy want to know a little more about that char. what i know untill now: Kangaxx was killed ages ago in a duell with a friend,his boddy filled of hatred(hate) died and he became a lich. some ages after that,UTAX the paladin( a relative of Kangaxx) have "absorved" Kangaxx evil powers,transformed them in Holy powers,and he becames one of the moust powrfull paladin of the realm and the order(The same paladin order then ANomen) with just 16 years old! in the BG2 game i dont know nothing about it,why he is there,why he is traped,and so on. so... i kindly ask for your heavy knowledge about this issue! can some one tell me more about Kangaxx story-? who is Utax the Paladin?,i never have seen any reference to him in BG1 or 2! our if some one can post here a link to where i can read all the info about it! i m trully thankfull for any info you can get! thx. PS:sorry for my horrid english,its not my natural language,sorry for that.
Mirtek 08-19-03, 03:00 PM	AFAIK Kangaxx, like many things regarding the BG games, are purely things of these games and don't exist in "real" D&D. PS: Yeah i know. One guy at WotC customer service said that these events (at least the matching novels) are considered canon. That doesn't change the fact that basically nothing of all this is mentioned anywhere in any FR supplement, except this single Volo Guide, which happens to be ignored by the other supplements as well.

Other wise the stats for characters would not be official realms canon. Ed's articles would not be official realms canon, etc. Ah forget it. hehe.
Rinonalyrna Fathomlin 08-19-03, 09:13 PM	I think the point is, though, that there really isn't any detailed info about Kangaxx besides what is in the game. It's just like how anyone can make up a villain/other characters for their campaign; the designers of the BG games enjoyed creating their own characters; there's no rule that one has to use characters that already exist. Don't bother looking for infomation about Utax the paladin or Kangaxx the Demilich in the official sourcebooks, because you won't find it. That isn't good or bad, that's just the truth.
