There is a 24th level priest in both Halruaa and on the island of Lantan and then there is the head of Goldenfields, whose name I dont feel like looking up and he is 20th level I believe.

I recall a recent book (CoS:W ?) reduced his levels almost by a ridiculous amount. They should have used a few levels of the Mystic Theurge class too. Of all the characters to cut levels for... What is Parzal the Outrageous up to nowadays anyway?

Good thing too, 'cause I don't feel like giving them their backpay. -Parzal is still alive, and out there, somewhere. I remember that Kuje had asked Ed sometime earlier this year, but last I heard, Ed had yet to respond. Checking his Candlekeep answers, Ed still has yet to, it seems.

I'm not too familiar with the character's history, but a few levels of mystic theurge might have worked out for him. Parzal? Faraer 11-20-06, 06:56 PM	Most of the highest-level priests haven't been published, because they're part of the larger subject of the gods' churches, which has only been sketchily tackled in print. For instance, Cormyr: A Novel and its sequel show us (previously unknown) great clerics of/in Cormyr because the story needed them.

In the FRCS, she is a Cleric of Auril 5 / Runecaster 4, with a total CR of 18. But, she did appear in the Epic Level Hadbook, correct? If so, she has obviously been updated and upgraded a bit.

Dark Wizard 11-22-06, 11:06 PM	Gerti Orelsdottr does appear in the Epic Handbook, but her stats still say she's a regular Frost Giant Cleric 5/Runecaster 4 with CR 18 (her frost giant CR plus her 9 class levels still only add up to CR 18 according to the books). Her stat block doesn't seem to use any epic material, makes sense since at CR 18 she doesn't qualify. I'm not sure why they put her in the book, FR has no lack of iconic level 21+ characters. Here's a quick rundown of some likely living and more accessible NPCs from Kuje's 2e NPC list: - Thauna Maskalar, 21st level Cleric of Sune, Leader of the House of Firehair in Daerlun in Sembia. - Friar Dugald, 22nd level Cleric of Dionysus, he wants to minister to the citizens of Bloodstone Pass. (Yeah, the Bloodstone modules had that lovable whackiness to them.) - Bloenin, 24th level Cleric of Gond, the Lantar of Lantan. - Holycoin Voice of the Lady Tharundar Olehm, 24th level Cleric of Waukeen, Leader of Goldspires in Crimmor in Amn, High Priest of all of Waukeen's faithful on Faerun. Worthy priests who are almost certainly dead: - Aunrae Nasadra, 23rd level Cleric of Lolth, Matron Mother of House Nasadra in Ched Nasad. (I don't keep up with Drow, so this probably changed by now.) - Matron Mother Baenre, 25th level Cleric of Lolth. Lolth likes her priestesses.

Also if we're counting druids of the nature gods, the Emerald Enclave has a few high level priests (2nd Edition) Shinthala Deepcrest (Druid 30, Chosen of Silvanus) Lady Shadowmoon (Druid 22, Chosen of Silvanus) Tolgar Anuvein (Cleric 18, Chauntea) is another high level one.

Today, she's highest ranked priestess of Lolth in Menzoberranzan. Just as a note, Gerti is in ELH because her ECL is 21 [14 racial HD + Clr 5 + Runecaster 4]. CR had no bearing wheter someone is epic or not, ECL does. But the epic priestess there is deffinatelly Iyraclea.

And she is seen as such by the city, which is why she's given great respect by everyone on those rare occasions she left her House Daughter of the Drow Triel even offer her central position and her seat in House Baenre chapel]. And current Matron Mistress of Academy is Quenthel, not Triel. -On a side note, where can I find the source for this "Hesken-Pa'j"? She was never fully stated, since she's Matron of only 18th ranked House, but her brief stats are given in Menzoberranzan box set [level 20 priestess], and it was specifically stated that she's 2nd highest ranking priestess in the city after Matron Baenre [that same source list Triel as only level 16 priestess, which tie Triel on 3rd place with now deceased Matrons of Houses Oblodra and Faen Tlabbar].

As for Qilue, she is stated as a Cleric of Eilistraee 16 / Divine Desciple 3, plus her Chosen of Mystra and Drow Templates.

GothicDan 12-05-06, 04:52 AM	Clerics are fully capable of becoming liches; they're just, by far, more rare. And the most infamous of clerical liches, by far, are indeed the Baneliches. Myrkul also had a number of clerical liches, himself. Jergal preferred Greater Mummies.
