I'm currently in an online game as a Fey'ri Ranger, he is lvl 3 and has the endurance feat. Our party has just been ambushed by six orclike creature's. The thing is we have a magic item that we are on a time limit to return, so instead of fighting we are going to try to escape. What I want to do is fly into the air and pick up the rogue with the item. So my question is: what sort of roll do I make to attempt this?
Thanks in advance for any help.

(for anyone that does not know the Fey'ri have wings, so I'm not using a spell to fly.)

well if your comrade does not know you're attempting it, then make a flat footed touch attack, or a grapple check, but he's willing, then it gets complicated, sometimes it could just be a concentration check, sometimes if you were high enough it could be a jump check, but what i would do is make an unnamed dexerity check to grab him, like DC 15 depending though on how many orcs there are, and also this thread is off topic to Faerun, this needs to go into the Players handbook forum Here (http://boards1.wizards.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=16)

Thank's AvengedMutablegenus, I think I will go with the dexterity check. And I was not sure where to put this thread, so because I was using an FR character I put it here. Anyway thanks again for the info.:)

I read somewhere (Sage ruling? can't remember...) that you can't fly through natural means (natural wings) if your encumbrance is Medium or Heavy unless you're flying through magical means (Fly spell, boots of flying, etc). Period. Anyone come across this before?
