| Zebular of Mystryl05-10-05, 02:14 AM | Hello, I was wondering how I could contact Ed Greenwood? I wish to write him and express my love for his creations, as well as ask him a question or two about "The Wizards Three" short stories he wrote in the Dragon Magazines. Ed Greedwood has been an inspiration of mine, Especially with Elminster. I am sure I cannot contact him directly, but I was wondering if there was a way I could write WotC and have them pass it along to Ed Greenwood and then allow Ed Greenwood to contact me directly if he so desired. Ed Greewood, if your reading this, please adopt me man (well, I'm 27, but heck, I'd give Mystryl my soul if I could be a PC with you as my DM. Ok ok.. I'd give Mystra my soul just because it was Mystra. :P ) Love ya man, thanks for everything you have done. |
| Sammael_the_Chosen05-10-05, 02:20 AM | Oh kay... There is a person on the Candlekeep forums who is in (fairly) constant communication with Ed. I suspect that you could e-mail your message to Ed to him. AFAIK, Ed doesn't read these boards. |
| Zebular of Mystryl05-10-05, 02:24 AM | Thanks for the quick reply. Even though I truley love Candlekeep, I'd much rather keep my messages to him as private as possible, only going directly to him, or a company that he would get such "fan mail" from, like WotC. Ah, I'd probably not have the time to read these boards either if I were Ed, heh. |
| Kuje3105-10-05, 11:32 AM | WOTC won't give out his address both email or snail mail and I'm not even sure if they would deliver a letter to him. You could try to post a message on Candlekeep asking if he can contact you privately but that's the reason why he uses a go between on Candlekeep and even on the mailing list because his email would be flooded with messages from fans. |
| Slime Lord05-10-05, 12:33 PM | The only one who stands any chance, if he already hasn't, of getting a snail mail of Ed's is one person. Kuje, The Four Lettered One |
| Kuje3105-10-05, 01:12 PM | The only one who stands any chance, if he already hasn't, of getting a snail mail of Ed's is one person. Kuje, The Four Lettered One Nope Ed has never answered me privately because I'm just a fan and I follow how he set up his replies.... But someday I hope he does mail me privately because I do want to know what Loviatar's rituals are like but he said he can't post them because they are graphic and WOTC's and Candlekeep's boards are child friendly. :( |
| CzarGarrett05-10-05, 01:41 PM | I think smoke-signals would work |

Intriguing!!! I can't believe something can be worse that Bane, Myrkul and Cyric! |
| Kuje3105-10-05, 02:50 PM | Loviatar's Rituals are THAT evil!?! Intriguing!!! I can't believe something can be worse that Bane, Myrkul and Cyric! Grin. Her's involve to much pain and torture, i'm assuming. :) After the flack I got for asking about wedding rituals for Sharess and Lliira, I guess I'm glad Ed has said he can't post Loviatar's. But I still want to know them. :( |
| ClobberinTime05-10-05, 03:42 PM | Kuje, I'm beginning to think you are as much of a dirty old man as Ed is just for wanting to be involved in such rituals, I'm blushin just thinkin of it. |
| Kuje3105-10-05, 04:07 PM | Kuje, I'm beginning to think you are as much of a dirty old man as Ed is just for wanting to be involved in such rituals, I'm blushin just thinkin of it. Whistles innocently. :) Hey it's a topic TSR/WOTC wouldn't touch. There's a lot of ceremonies for the deities that Ed has that he couldn't print. :( |
| Slime Lord05-10-05, 04:33 PM | But it doesn't mean he can't post them some where. And by that I mean a site like Candlkeep. Now it wouldn't be "Offical" by Wizards standards of course, and people would have to sign up in account of sorts, saying they are of Legal age (normal 18 for many countries) and other such things of that nature and post them there. I hate to imagine what several other Rituals are by deities.Shar would be intersting. And it's ok to asking about Wedding Rituals. It's a nessceity ;) |
| Krash05-10-05, 09:20 PM | Ed gets deluged daily with FR requests from people he has given his e-mail to over the years - and yes, I'm as guilty as the next guy. He's currently still doing his taxes as I understand it, working on a couple of FR projects and other 'stuff'. As everyone has said, Candlekeep is your best bet. If your request is 'private' then you'll have to wait until you prove your FR mettle and love of the Realms and he'll e-mail you. It does happen - I'm living proof. -- George Krashos |
| Anias SoulStealer05-12-05, 04:48 PM | Can someone give me a link to the candlekeep boards? |
| Brom Greenstar05-12-05, 05:03 PM | Candlekeep Forums (http://www.candlekeep.com/forum/default.asp) |
| WizO_BigSister05-12-05, 08:29 PM | It is sad but true that most of the game designers and novel authors have stopped reading these forums. The behaviour of some posters in the past drove them away. These posters are no longer around, and the general behaviour of the board members has improved out of site ... and we live in hope that the writers and designers will return. |
| Krash05-12-05, 08:36 PM | Ahh, but it's so nice and comfy at C-Keep and everyone plays nice all the time. Why would they want to move? :) -- George Krashos |
| Zebular of Mystryl05-18-05, 04:06 PM | Just wanted to thank everyone for all thy great replies, they be much appreciated. Mystryl bless ye all. |
