Jylanthas 07-01-03, 02:51 PM	I know this has probably been asked before, but what do I need to buy/obtain in order to play a campaign (quest etc.) with 1-2 other friends. I'm not looking at getting into large group RP's yet and I haven't ever played D&D before, so could somebody list all the things I will need.
Herr Doktor 07-01-03, 03:22 PM	Hmn, you'd probably do better at the Dungeons and Dragons General board, but sure! I'll help you out! First and foremost, wait a few weeks for the 3.5 Core rulebooks to find their way to your local bookstore or hobby shop. Once they've been released you'll want to pick up a copy of each: Player's Handbook (PHB) Dungeon Masters Guide (DMG) Monster Manual (MM) Make sure they're the 3.5 Editions if you want to play with the most recent set of rules. If you don't mind playing with rules that are supposedly less balanced you can pick up the original 3rd Edition core rulebooks. That's all you really need to play, and actually... a lot of the info can be found here (http://www.wizards.com/D20/article.asp?x=srd) in the System Reference Document (SRD), the info there now is for 3rd Edition, not 3.5
