I'm reading Forsaken House and they're into the year following year of Rogue Dragons! In the FR Core book, it says that the timeline is supposed to be advancing...well, I don't have the book in front of me, but that seems like a bit of a drastic jump already!

In the Player's Guide to Faerūn (the 3.5 update to the FRCS), it states that the timeline has been advanced to Kythorn 1, 1373 DR (the Year of Rogue Dragons). (page 166, paragraph 1, lines 11-13) :)

Time advancement happens through novels too though. There was a lengthy discussion about this some time back.

Yup and at one point Rich said the info in the FRCS is wrong. :) It's in the old Ask the Game Designers thread that is in the FAQ section.

FRCS p. 260 threatened to advance the timeline about 2 months per five months of game products and novels. It's been about 39 months (June 2001 to October 2004) and 20 months (Shieldmeet 1372 to Tarsakh 1374 in Forsaken House), so they're ahead of schedule.
