Hi, glad to "see" some new faces! Anyway, we just type in how we came to FR and let others comment on it.

Anyway, this is the fourth time for me (I made one of these threads in the Rec Room) and I'm going to keep it simple:

My aunt just died and my brother wanted to cheer me up, I made a drow. Two years later I read Homeland and made a new Jaia, one that wasn't an unintentional Drizzt clone and that has been the Jaia I have used ever since. I also became an R.A.S. fan (not atic.).

The reason i started DnD is because it gave me the possibility of playing stories with my party better than the ones i read one the X-men...!
It turned out to be a thousands times better living it than reading it!

The first time playing the realms was back in 02. My first time playing dnd too. I was a human ranger, with a party of female elven rogue, female half-elf monk, and a DMPC Half-elf (with small traits of fire emenental) fighter type class. (Self-made class). Good times. First time we got in a fight was at a tournament, where I won by getting nat 20's on all fights for insta kills. XD.

Then we fell into a formioun ant hive and had to flee. Then something boring happened. Then I died and became a Assimaer Paladin. Good times.

I started playing D&D, back when it was still Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, in '96. I heard about FR back then, but never had much interest in it. Then, I played Baldur's Gate I & II, then the Throne of Bhaal expansion, and decided I wanted to know more. So, when the FRCS first came out for 3rd Ed., I picked one up immediately. But, no one wanted to play FR until '04. That's when I first DMed a FR game. Since then, I've run two FR campaigns, but still never gotten to be a player in one. :(

I picked up Darkwalker on Moonshae in 1987.

The Ol' Grey Boxed set a short while there after.

I've been "hooked" ever since.

I got Icewind Dale in 1999, when it came out. Five years later, I've played just about all the D&D games I can get my hands on. So I buy the core rulebooks. Two years after that, with no mentors to guide me, and no players, I finally feel qualified to DM. And on Friday, my first proper game is happening. :P
