I'm Kinda Confused [Archive] - Wizards Community

Seneschal (Jergal)

Cuckloid (Malik)

Seraph (Avner)

Seneschal: an agent or steward in charge of a lord's estate in feudal times.

A cuckold I think is what you meant. And that means some one who is unfaithful (usually means a man whose wife is unfaithful) According to the Marriam Webster Dictionary.

Seraph, well I really can't answer that. A seraph is usually an angel but what the author means as a Seraph in FR is probably not the same and 3E has changed all Seraphs into Chosen.

I dont know if this is the case, I can't remember this storyline.

I think in this case, Cuckold just means more of a general, one who has the wool pulled over thier eyes, unwilling to see what the Cuckoler is really up to.

Like I said, I don’t remember this story line that well so don’t take this as gospel.

As I said all Seraphs in 3E are now Chosen. So he is a Chosen of Cyric. Just like the Seraph of Umberlee is now a Chosen of Umberlee.

And I to don't remember that story line (Since I hated the Time of Troubles and don't use it in my games).

09-21-03, 08:27 AM A cuckold isn't the person being unfaithful - it is the spouse who's partner is unfaithful. It comes from the idea of a cuckoo in the nest, an imposter who has no right to be there. If Malik's wife was unfaithful with Cyric, this means Cyric "cuckolded" Malik making Malik a cuckold.

I never doubted you did, as a matter of fact, they were great definitions.
That post was just a play with Cunning Linguist’s name.
It was a blatant attempt (maybe not a good one) of opportunity to be pun-ny.

I think it was valid for him to provide a link, since people didnt seem to believe the definitions already provided.
