Here soon I hope to be running a campaign that is all psionics and i could use some "nuges" in a helpful direction.
I all ready know that i dont want gods so im gonna use the Times of troubles again. Healing i think i've solved with a "Psi healing patch" (a grove or something of runes or psi tattoos that when you use you PP you heal d3 points of damage. other than that im not real sure on all the history of farun

I'm not sure how to help you..... because I'm not sure what you need help with, exactly. The history of Faerun is complicated and extremely detailed.

I'm not really sure on what I can say that'll help you here... although, for the history part of your post, I can suggest that you take a look at the wonderful compilation -- A Grand History of the Realms:- http://www.candlekeep.com/downloads/grandhistory.zip

It provides a wealth of detail about the history of the FR setting appropriately dated and referencing material taken from both sourcebooks and novels. It should be enough to get you started, and if you follow the references included on the timeline, it should lead you to further sources of historical lore.

And yes Brian... I'm still waiting for those cheques :P.

Wow. I think the gods (and their various followers and churches to a lesser degree) of the Forgetten Realms setting really contribute to what makes the setting what it is. To simply strip all that away not only removes the background flavor of the setting, but also removes clerics, druids, paladins, and a variety of prestige classes from viable play...

That's not a criticism of your idea, mind you.
Its just an observation that leaves me looking at a gutted campaign setting and wondering why you wouldn't just design and define your own D&D world without gods?

Well, given the chaos of the Time of Troubles, and the fact that magic was made so unstable by it, I think that there would be somewhat of a reason for cabals of Psionicists to get together and try to capitalize on the lack of dependable healing magics by making little trinkets of their own.

Or they could have merely been remnants of Jhaamdath, which is part of Faerunian history. :)

thats why im useing the Times of Trouble the Gods are "there" but not responding to there servants .... often and when people did get spells to work they had a high chance of failing.
