| Priest_of_Shaundakul04-29-06, 12:10 AM | I noticed on Amazon that it was listed as a paperback...so is this paperback like a cheap novel, or sturdy? |
| Lord Karsus04-29-06, 12:41 AM | -City of the Spider Queen is printed in the same manner that Lords of Darkness, Magic of Faerūn, and The Silver Marches (Possibly Sons of Gruumsh) are. If you don't have any of those, I can vouch for the binding. I regularly flip through Magic of Faerūn and Lords of Darkness, and neither one has broken opne yet. |
| BlackAce100004-30-06, 05:23 AM | What Karsus said. :) I will add though that Sons of Gruumsh is much thinner and staple jacketed like a magazine, rather than bound. |

I've never actually seen it, but I know it's in softcover. Good thing you said something... |
| Thaingrim05-01-06, 07:33 AM | i wich i could be as enthousiastic as you guys , but my magic of faerun started to lose pages after a couple of months..... |

I use my MoF fairly often, and it is still in tip-top condition. Did you do silly things, like bend the spine, fold pages, and/or throw it around? Or, did it just simply decide to go caput for no reason? |
| Thelandrach05-01-06, 11:47 AM | This style of publishing is also called "perfect bound." I've found the 3rd edition materials to be very sturdy. |
| Caligula05-01-06, 09:54 PM | I noticed on Amazon that it was listed as a paperback...so is this paperback like a cheap novel, or sturdy? It is softcover, but of excellent quality! The pages are like covered in a synthetic plastic-like material so they are very, very sturdy! The adventure itself is one of the best adventures ever to have been published for the D&D game! You will also find web-enhanced add-ons at www.wizards.com! Likewise, here at the forum you will find updates to 3.5 version! Go get it! :) |
| tae'graciel05-02-06, 12:16 PM | My Silver Marches book is starting to fall apart too, only the first couple pages though.... I handle my books quite well, they do get used alot but we are mature gamers here and I have a large collection (game books and novels) that I take extensive cate of. Oh well, bad batch I guess |
| Darth K'Trava05-09-06, 07:02 PM | I also have a copy of Magic of Faerun that I got used from a dealer at a con. It has some bending at the corners but is still in great shape. But then, I haven't used it that much, not having had an FR game that needed it in a couple of years. |

I guess by his lack of response he used it as a door jam or something. My paperback styles are also in good shape, there wear is minimal. I don't leave mine in the rain or roll it up and use it to play sock ball either. I mean they are books, treat them like it. |

When I read, I barely open the things. I am very meticulous about keeping my novels and sourcebooks in tip-top shape. |
| CharginCrusader05-22-06, 08:24 PM | Know what you mean Karsus, had to use the ruler a few times at the gaming table on my brother-in-law and his greasy, nose picking fingers "ah ah wipe first" (he's 16 and thoroughly disgusting :D |
