| sariss_eldariss10-22-04, 05:42 PM | Well met, If you could, at the cost of your life, do a single epic deed to further Faerun, what would it be and why? Light laughter and sweet water until next, Sariss Eldariss |
| BrianCritchley10-22-04, 06:12 PM | ascend to godhood? then I'd be immortal so threat to life.. gone :D |
| GothicDan10-23-04, 01:13 PM | I would probably restore the glory of the Elven people, if I was in a good mood. If I was in a bad mood, I would inspire an alliance between Halruaa, Thay, and Shade, and have them take over the world. |
| Draco Strang10-24-04, 03:21 AM | For sure I'd be the rogue that accidentally unleashes a giant can of ancient-evil-just-awoken whoopass upon all of Faerun, and then Drizzt and co. would step in, trying to right wrongs. Of course, they'd be miffed for a while, until finding the evils one weakness. Drizzt would then spend several days writing journal entries that contemplate the nature of evil, hunger, rage, and compassion, all the while arguing that the evil is just something misunderstood, but must be ruthlessly killed anyway. Regis would lose more fingers. Wulfgar would beat his wife. Cattie-brie would follow in her father's footsteps, which means growing a beard and drinking a lot. And then the rogue would step in, tell everyone to chill, and pull out the instruction book that Elminster gave him, spelling out loud and clear how to kill the damn thing. Of course, Pwent would accidentally run him through during a rage, end of said rogue. That's what I would do. P.S.-As an alternate deed, I would kick Artemis Entreri's ass using only a whip and buckler. |
| SammasterT10-24-04, 11:58 AM | Hmmmm ..... Perhaps I would liberate the Tunlanders from the neglectful and oppressive rule of Cormyr, divorce them from the twofaced and baleful influence of the Darkhold, and unfiy them under a group of rangers and druids led by somekind of "Swamp-King" (High Druid). Tunland bandits, eh? I'll show the Crown Tunland "bandits" alright ... |
| Tempus66510-24-04, 01:16 PM | I'd cross the Endless Waste and then I'd try to get back again. On foot. |
| maynardjkeenan10-24-04, 06:07 PM | I'd cross the Endless Waste and then I'd try to get back again. On foot. So you would spend a lot of time walking, only to die? :) |
| WizO_BigSister10-24-04, 06:17 PM | I am assuming that this thread intended to refer to an epic deed that takes place in the Realms, so I will leave it open but please people no more suggestions that are rude, offensive and/or tasteless. Be good  |

| Cole Deschain10-24-04, 08:29 PM | I'd singlehandedly wipe out the Chosen of all deities. I think it'd be worth it. |

| Tempus66510-25-04, 02:39 AM | So you would spend a lot of time walking, only to die? :) Yes, but think of all the wonders one would see while walking the distance. :D |
| Draco Strang10-25-04, 03:26 AM | Ok, Ok....I'll post a real epic deed, since some people seem to be upset by the epic deeds i really want to perform: I'd lead an alliance of the vilest groups of Faerun (Red Wizards, Zhentarim, orcish hordes, etc) on a mighty quest to erase Menzoberranzan and the rest of the dark-elf threat (as if that's not happening right now in WotSQ). Then, whoever managed to survive would be manipulated to attack the biggest, nastiest mind-flayer cities, and hopefully one or the other would be wiped out. Predictably, evil would have taken a beating. And I would die happy, knowing that i managed to help make faerun a better place. |
| Student Of The Mind10-25-04, 03:43 AM | I would bring the glory of the dwarven race back to the Realms! The elves are already on their way back into the realms...The dwarves are the neglected step-children of the Realms. Rebuild their strongholds, spread the brilliance of their magic, and help build a fortified surface city around The Great Rift.:D Nobody likes them, everybody hates them, they might as well eat worms! :D |
| ZebtheDM10-25-04, 01:15 PM | The glory of the gnomes that they rightly deserve will be awarded them, and biggy size drinks for all. |
| sariss_eldariss10-25-04, 05:22 PM | I am assuming that this thread intended to refer to an epic deed that takes place in the Realms, so I will leave it open but please people no more suggestions that are rude, offensive and/or tasteless. Be good  I have edited the post so as to avoid confusion, i do appologise to those that may have gotten into trouble due to my mistake, Denier willing it will not happen again. On a brighter note the many replies i have recieved have been insightful and have given me an idea for my next pose. Light laughter and sweet water until next. |
| Aluroon10-25-04, 06:13 PM | I would retake/rebuild Cormynthor for the elves! Long Live The Elves! Aluroon |
| Chossen of Shar10-25-04, 06:58 PM | I would retrun everything back to nothingness for Shar sence she is having a hard time doing so. HEHEHE |
| Aluroon10-25-04, 08:20 PM | I would retrun everything back to nothingness for Shar sence she is having a hard time doing so. HEHEHE :mymy:  Thats not very nice... Aluroon |
| Cole Deschain10-25-04, 08:59 PM | :mymy:  Thats not very nice... And my genocide of the Chosen is? ;) |
| Shemeska the Marauder10-25-04, 11:58 PM | "Wait wait wait... why would I ever want to sacrifice myself to do anything for that mewling pack of clueless from Toril? No, seriously, that prime is a rather nice an incubator for evil souls that ultimately feed and profit the raw essence of the lower planes as it is." "But, to answer the question: I wouldn't do a thing because 1) I'm not risking my neck for them, and 2) We do so ENJOY the look on their petitioner's faces when they show up in Gehenna and the Waste and wonder where in the 'planes' of their world they are. We rather enjoy educating* them in how their view of their cosmology is rather... well... wrong. Muaahahahaha!" * "And by educating I mean making their petitioners into living paper, so to speak." |
| faridjo10-26-04, 12:33 PM | Shar oh Shar, i would take this chance to exact death destruction to faerun, may darkness reign over light for eternity. All shall be turned to dust and nothingness. For the glory of SHAR!!!!!!!!!!!! |
| Chossen of Shar10-26-04, 11:01 PM | Shar oh Shar, i would take this chance to exact death destruction to faerun, may darkness reign over light for eternity. All shall be turned to dust and nothingness. For the glory of SHAR!!!!!!!!!!!! NOW THAT IS WHAT I AM SAYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU GO MAN. HEHE GO Shar |
| anglar10-26-04, 11:18 PM | I'd fight the Seldarine so that those of Drow blood who are worthy to walk in the heavens with all other Elves could do so. Then my grnafather could finally let himself die. |
| nekrolog10-26-04, 11:41 PM | I would invent cotton gin. :) |
| Archmage10-28-04, 11:56 AM | I would place a Toril-wide barrier that absorbs all non-clerical divine energies and redirects it back at the deities. All Chosen automatically lose their powers and no god can ever create new Chosen. The barrier also makes divine manifestations of power or avatars impossible, thus divine relics and artifacts lose their magic. Semi-divine creatures find Toril blocked to them as well. Both the Weave and the Shadow Weave stabilize and run automatically, being immune to any mortal or divine attempt to alter them in any way. Basically, clerics, paladins, and rangers still gain spells, and the gods' portfolios still function as they should, but that's about the only direct influence that gods can have on the world. |
| Dwarven Beserker10-28-04, 01:01 PM | I would wipe out the elves:bump:. Long life the dwarves :fight!: :D |
| GothicDan10-28-04, 01:20 PM | I'd fight the Seldarine so that those of Drow blood who are worthy to walk in the heavens with all other Elves could do so. Besides the fact that you would die fighting any deity.... The drow already can go to Arborea when they die, if they worship the Seldarine (or Ellistraee), or if they worship no deity, they go into the Wall on the Fugue Plane, just like every other mortal soul on Faerun who does not worship a god. |
| Charles Phipps10-28-04, 01:28 PM | I'd wipe out all Necromantic/Death deities but Kelemvor along with the possibility of any but Kelemvor...forever. |
| Chosen of the Dark Sun10-28-04, 09:32 PM | I would kill the leaders of every organized grouping of people, as well as the deities, and hand supreme power of the universe over to an insane kobold psion named Mr. Blinkie. Socialism forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D |
| Mystrasdance11-26-04, 10:01 PM | I'd have to say that my epic deed would be to take that "spark" that humans have (not from them just kinda a cut and past deal) that gives humans the drive to do things instead of spending 200 yrs of their life on nothing...dont get me wrong if thats what they want to do fine...but the elven race seems to follow the pattern of...get ur but handed to you.....learn from it become uber powerful...then stagnates...rehashing the "good old days" or this ancester did this blah blah....i'd give the elven race that part of the humans drive to go do...but have them keep their patience and caution....just not so much caution u have to dicuss a problem for 100 yrs and by that time its a catastrophe and then...u guess it back having ur butt handed to ya. and if i have to die its all good i'd go into revery and allow the weave to absorb my epic change so that when the elves started going into revery they'd be "infectected" bad choice of words but u get what i mean.... |
| Balthor11-27-04, 02:31 AM | :plotting: OH, well see the Fangs have a few issues with the town on Shadowdale, and a pompous jerk buy the name of Falconhand. SOOO. I would drop a big( umm think Texas) size globe of darkness in the centre of town, put a shield over it, then massive blade storm inside shell. The effects of a massive blender. :evillaugh |
| Chosen Of Bhaal11-27-04, 04:11 AM | Unite all of faerun into one big happy empire where theres no slavery, theft or anything like that at all :d Oh, and my clone (as im dead) would rule it undisputedly |
| Cyrus_Shadowstalker11-27-04, 08:47 AM | Get my non elven butt over to Evermeet and drag those fancy pants rejects back by their pointy ears to battle the impending evil, that with my luck was unwitingly released by me while I was looking for a better way to cast bigby's offensive hand (modified spell that acts as a way to deliver touch attacks from a range but using just the middle finger) it's offensive and offensive, and only the elves can put back.... |
| beanor12-23-04, 02:44 PM | well let us think on this one for a moment.. something to better the world.... i think i would attempt to bring the time of troubles upon the world once more so that the gods are forced to walk the world... and then set out to kill them all.. makeing me all powerfull.. but i would most likely die trying |
| benking2712-23-04, 04:34 PM | I would unite the tieflings, aasimars, fey'ri, and the rest of the planetouched together and create a home for them close to society but still far away from everybody else. and restore the gnomes to glory. |
| The Simbul12-25-04, 09:19 PM | I would rid Faerun of the nonsense known as "The Time of Troubles" I would rid Faerun of the nonsense known as "Ao the Overdeity" I would rid Faerun of the nonsense known as "The Shadow Weave" Or any other ad-hoc bs variants thereof. |
| Gadodel12-25-04, 09:45 PM | Well met, If you could, at the cost of your life, do a single epic deed to further Faerun, what would it be and why? Light laughter and sweet water until next, Sariss Eldariss Defeat as many wizards as possible. Their disappearance would usher in a new age of magic. |
| greaterbaatezu12-28-04, 07:23 AM | Well, I would use one of Halaster's gates to arrive naked in one of Menzobarranzen's slave pens, cast a quickened Gateway spell (ignore components) yell at the forty people standing there (also naked) to get through the gateway, run through it myself, quicken dispel it, and then cast a wish to get my stuff back (which was taken by Halaster's gate). Infact, I did just that with my character tonight. And he didn't even die. Though he will once the Drow track him down. Though for now, all they know is some REALLY powerful mage showed up in the pens naked "to disguise himself" (boy, if they only knew), cast a really powerful spell, stole the entire group of slaves, and got out thumbing his nose at them. Good thing he's a Spellguard of Silverymoon. The Harpers took notice of the deed though, and are now trying to recruit him. Missions for whom would most likely take him out of the wards and into the waiting claws of the drow. |
