Hello. I'm new to the whole message board thing, but being a massive obsessionist of Forgotten Realms I thought that maybe I should get involved.

Well getting straight to the point, I was wondering if anyone ever attempted to incorporate other people's games and characters into their dnd adventures? I was thinking that maybe who might be interested could keep a thread or two going that will tell some things about their games, what their pc's are acomplishing and located, what magic items and artifacts they are using so that it wont be like every second campaign is using the same artifacts. Obviously this kind of organization will take a lot of effort on the parts of DM's that are interested, but if yah think that this sounds like a good idea, then leave some messages up and i'll explain more of my ideas.

I've only incorporated the past PC's that I've DM'd with, which is one of the reasons my version is not the same as canon.

They've built towns, changed parts of the world, etc.

Similar to Kuje. My games have tended to go way off from cannon. I have the Lake of Steam region united under one emperor, who is working/funding Lantan in order to mass produce weapons (primarily firearms) in order to expand the empire into calimshan and tethyr, to chessenta, and south to Lappilaya (sp?). Lantan as well is taking a larger role in my games (well, were...I've recently moved to an entirely different continent, so I don't think I'll be seeing my old players for some time). Ioulaum is now in a childs body, who's an apprentice to an elf in Silverymoon (grumpy bugger who insists his student has potential, but no hope of ever really grasping the concepts of magic  ).
My favorite artifact of all time: The Dumble Rumble Backscratcher. It's a wand of magic missles that shoots 6 maximized missles. It also scratches the owners back whenever he gets an itch (and prevents anything or anyone else from scratching his/her back).
