I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find information on the city of Calimport. I am interested in running a campaign involving a bunch of thieves guilds at war with each other and figured Calimport was the best bet. Also does anyone have any tips and/or advice on running a campaign based solely inside of a city?

Lands of the Shining Sea box set, which is a free download from WOTC. The link is in my FR FAQ in the FAQ section.

The Calimport sourcebook.

Both of these are 2e.

Empires of the Sands sourcebook from 1e, which the above box set updated.

Kuje, it's the Calimport sourcebook that is a free download, not Empires of the Shining Sea:

So it is. :) Odd that Lands of Intrigue is but Empires isn't. :) Oh well either way one of them is on that list.

Another good option for some calimport guild wars is Salvatore's Path of Darkness series

The Calimport 2e source book is good, but for taste of it u need to read the path of darkness as jackhein so wisely suggested.

Thank you all for the information. I found the paths of darkness at half priced books near my house :) I wonder if they are gonna come out with a 3.5 edition of calimport... probly not for a while if they do.

Umm ... the city hasn't changed even though the game edition you may be playing has. It would be a total waste of resources to 'update' Calimport to 3.XE - as the only thing they would be updating is stats. IIRC the majority of the NPCs had a one-line stat block with little or no further information - really easy to convert to 3.XE. So basically, put in just a little elbow grease and get your Calimport campaign up and running.
