| Deavek_Arkel11-14-06, 01:11 AM | I remember reading somewhere (Not sure if it was in Cannon Material or on some site), that the Realms and Earth at one time were close. Is this true? |

Ed and THO over at Candlekeep have said in their replies that there are in fact gates/portals/etc to our planet/universe/solar system but it's the D&D and or fantasy version of our plane/universe/solar system. As well, Elminster's Hold in Realmspace has a portal to Ed's study and to Yellowstone in 1894. |

| Lord Karsus11-15-06, 11:06 PM | So then it wouldnt be far fetched to have a Roman Leigon or so lead by a Roman Lord (Wizard) to enter a portal and attempt to conquer Faerunian Nations? -Theoretically, it's possible. |
| ORC_Paradox11-16-06, 12:46 AM | I remember reading somewhere (Not sure if it was in Cannon Material or on some site), that the Realms and Earth at one time were close. Is this true? Well.... as far as in the "fictional" world, yes. When the Relams were first introduced, it was explained that they were "forgotten" after being connected to "Earth" for some time. As for real life, I doubt it. :D |
| Deavek_Arkel11-16-06, 01:03 AM | Still if some Wizard from Earth Discovered it, it would be possible to invade? I am considering such a Campaign. Where the characters are out to fight unkown invaders (The Roman Empire) which has over run several nations (Vaasa, Damara, Narfell and part of Rashemen) before anyone realy can aquire a grasp of what is happening. Its all in the begining planning stages of course. But I am planning that the Romans Invading Force compromises 100,000 Soldiers, plus Support (Wizards, Clerics, Sorcerers, Psions, Commoners etc). This is all perhaps all better suited for another section. And I am well aware that other nations would take notice and worrie, as well as ally against them. But this is all part of my madness!!! (Eventualy I plan to start a Roman City State in the Realms.) |
